Enjoying all the congregations routine
Probably the most well know Bible shepherd was King David. God himself even referred to David as a man after His own heart. ( Acts 13:22 )
So, why did our Lord often mention or refer to the Bible shepherds ? Because it was a life style. The Bible characters understood shepherds feeding their lambs, and giving them good pasture land and water.
We are all now under the good shepherd, Jesus Christ. We need to let our Lord feed us, we need to let our Lord give us soft green grass, and we need to let Him give us the living water. ( Psalm 23: 1-6 ) ( John 21:15-17 ) ( Genesis 29:3 ) ( Isaiah 40:11 ) ( Luke 15:4 )
Yes, our Heavenly Father's grace not only saves us ( Ephesians 2:8-9 ) but His wonderful grace keeps us. ( 1 Peter 2:25 ) ( Hebrews 5:9 ) ( 1 John 3:24 ) ( Romans 8:31 ) ( Jeremiah 29:11 )
So, just lay down in God's soft green grass and look up unto the sky, for His soon return. ( 1 Thess 4: 15-18 ) ( 1 Cor 15:51-55 ) ( Luke 21:36 )
