We do use electric bulbs of varied shapes and sizes, quality and prices, everything has a date of manufacture and a date of expiry, but never have I found any which would last forever or one that would be the brightest.
How bright should be the brightest is really to be perceived,
the right illumination is yet to be achieved.
yet when I read through Revelation 21, I found the perfect light that is perfectly bright and that would last forever.
The light of heaven, Jesus Christ.
"having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal. " Rev. 21:11 (NKJV)
"The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light." Rev. 21:23 (NKJV)
also as it is said about our Lord God is...
"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. " Hebrews 13:8 (NKJV)
The brightness of Christ which will be revealed in the New Jerusalem will illumine my life too.
That is the true light I need to have in my life so I may shine even in the dark times of my life.
The light of Christ is perfect for me, for it sets things clear in my life and helps me see everything in its perfect entirety and truth.
Let Christ fill our hearts today with the perfect brightness and drive away all the darkness of sin, doubt & fear from our lives.
