What is Truth?

Oftentimes people have problems with this fact about Christ, because they like to think they have the right to decide what truth is and what is not. Nonetheless, the Bible teaches that there is either truth or falsehood, just two options.

When Jesus said He was the Truth, he was asserting the fact that He was who He said He was (the Son of God), that what He said about us was true (we are sinners), and that His message was true (He came to die on the cross for our sins). He is our only hope of having a relationship with God the Father.

Everything Jesus said was true because He was not only a man, but also the true God and He knew and knows everything. He is truth personified.
God the Father, the Holy Spirit, the prophets and Jesus’ miracles and words testified that He was the Son of God

"When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him and suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” (Matthew 3:16-17)

“To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins.” (Acts 10:43)

"Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves." (John 14:10)

Our lives and the Bible testify that Christ was truthful about us

“As it is written: there is none righteous, no, not one. There is none who understands;there is none who seeks after God. They have all turned aside; they have together become unprofitable; there is none who does good, no, not one.” (Romans 3:10)

“For all have sinned and fall short from the glory of God”. (Romans 3:23)

The Apostles and Jesus himself testified that there is not other way of salvation but Him

“Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

“All others who came ahead of Me are men who steal and rob.”

“No one comes to the Father except through me”

When Jesus declared to be The Truth, he automatically disqualified the rest of the world. Every man on Earth that has ever claimed to have the power to bring us closer to God other than Christ is a false leader. He also excluded other methods of salvation: doing good works, countering bad karma with good, obeying certain spiritual laws, reincarnation, worshiping idols. It is futile try to save ourselves; we are saved by faith through Jesus only.

Then they said to Him, “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?” Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”

Have you heard people saying that they love God but despise Christ? Trying to receive God’s favors without accepting Christ is not only a mistake, but it is a contradiction! It is impossible to please God the Father unless we accept and love His Son Jesus Christ.

In all areas he proved to be truthful. He even dared his enemies to accuse him of lying and no one could.

"Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe Me? He who is of God hears God’s words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God.”

Jesus proved that He not only said the truth, but He was The Truth and still is. He is telling you today again that you cannot save yourself, no matter what you do. He offers you salvation by trusting in His sacrifice on the cross. Repent from your sins today and confess them to the Father. Ask Him to forgive you and save you from your sins, and from eternal damnation. Christ will make you a promise:

“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and The Way you know.

You know The Way, and you know The Truth. Will you ask God to give you Life?

If you died today, are you absolutely certain that you would go to heaven? You can be! TRUST JESUS NOW
