Here is a letter I recently found that I gave to my grandma Vada who must have hand delivered it to my great grandmother. My grandma Vada wrote in ink on the other side of my letter that she delivered to her mother...(my great grandmother Lois Northington)
Dear Mom, as sending
you Carl's letter
that he gave me last
Sun. when I was over
there. I came back Mon.
Have been so busy this
wk. I haven't had time
to come over & see
you. Elvada has
had Mary since
last Tues. We went
and got here & they
are both fine.
We have to go to
a pot luck at the
Civic auditorium to
nite. One of the
fellows in Al's Dept.
is retiring & it's in
his honor. Sat morn.
I'm getting a new
permanent. So
maybe I'll see
you Sun. if I
can. Love,
Vada
P.S. The comforter
wasn't hurt, just
a rusty spot on it. Didn't make
a hole.

I'am doing very well in school.
I'm getting A's on my paper. I
signed up for football And I play
for my school. I'am a half back.
first game was october 6th but I
did'nt get to go. We went to abalone
sea. I got my flash light to tak
to abalone sea but the batteries were
dead so I took them out and put
them on my bed but acid was all
over the batteries and acid got on my
bed spread that you made me. It might
make a hole or it might just stay
on there, or maybe it will wash out.
I'am very sorry, Grandma. I'am having a
real nice time. How's Ronnie Heaton?
doing. Tell Ronnie I said hello.
Love
Carl
