Take you portion go in peace, my sadness is your release
Come home my son
Just remember home is here, never worry never you fear
Come home my son
What am I doing in this mess, When my Father has the best
Come home my son
I must be going back home now, and accept my father's vow
Come home my son
Come to me my child and rest, from the evil stand be blessed
Come home my son
Too long you've been dreary, as life's journey has been weary
Come home my son
The feast is now made able, draw a chair and sit at the table
Come home my son
The spread is ready for basking, the banquet ready for the asking
Come home my son
The invitation is waiting the grateful, God's Grace is successful
Come home my son
Redemptions plan is full for all, Who by faith answer the call
Come home my son
The cross still has room for one, Loves deed was eternally done.
Come home my son
Oh what love my Father does show, oh how his face does glow
Come home my son.
Come now to God's table of grace, His love from sin to replace
Come home my son

The parable of the prodigal son is probably preached more than any other sermon. (LUKE 15:11-31) You see, this parable is a heavenly story with an earthly meaning. Thus, the point of the story is that God is waiting and willing to forgive all who will denounce sin and turn to Him for forgiveness.

Who are you in this story? Are you a prodigal, or a rebellious son, lost and far from God? Hopefully you've hit rock-bottom, come to your senses and decided to run to God's open arms of compassion and mercy? ( Romans 6:23 ) ( John 1:12 ) ( John 3:16 )
