BREAKING THE STRONGHOLDS OF VICTIMIZATION

Have you been victimized? Have you felt that others have used you or abused you? The Lord just Gave me this breakthrough understanding for a chart He Had me develop for the “How To Pray For Israel” book.
It is as if we are walking in a counter-clockwise manner with The Lord. We are well and happy and lifted in Him. Suddenly, a fiery dart and arrow of the enemy pierces our hearts or minds. It might be something someone said or did. It might be an old memory of a hurt that comes up seemingly out of nowhere. It is quickly followed by memories of the pain we’ve endured. This is coupled and fed with thoughts like “I’m not good enough. I’ll never be good enough. I’ll never have love. No one loves me. He hurt me! She hurt me! Etc., etc., and so on!” It becomes a pattern. Clue: behind every pattern in our lives is one or more demons, devils or spirits.
Look at the number of times you’ve chosen abusive relationships. Look at the times you’ve chosen people who were unavailable emotionally for you. Look at the number of times you’ve been rejected or abandoned. Look at the number of times victory has been snatched away from you at the moment of fulfillment. Why? These patterns become strongholds in our minds WHEN WE LET THEM. We then get on treadmills in our minds, broken records that seem to play over and over again.
Clue: We CAN have those things that God Has Designed for us! We CAN be the person HE Created us to be! We CAN have fulfillment, and see our hopes, dreams and desires fulfilled! Yowser! Remember, HE IS The God of the impossible! Don’t think He Can’t or Won’t Bring or Fulfill those deep desires and yearnings.
Well, guess what! At the moment these two circles intersect is the point of pain, that the demonic projects thoughts and feelings at us. The MEMORIES of deep hurts rise within us. Listen, people change. People grow. People learn to forgive each other. People learn to trust again. What once might have been “impossible” is possible with God. IT IS THAT MOMENT of intersection that we either ALLOW victimization to rise again, or we stamp on it with our feet and continue on God’s Path. To continue with God, is to remember the things HE SAYS about us: I am made in the Image and Likeness of Christ. I am made righteous Through The Blood of Jesus. I am a son/daughter of God. His Breath is MY breath! He Lives within me! I can have what He Says I can have! I can do what He Says I can do! I can do ALL things through Christ Who Strengtheneth me!
So, see: at the moment a pain, a memory rises up, take out that Sword of The Lord and pierce it with His Words and His Truth, instead of allowing it to pierce you with pain! Every moment is a choice!
YOU CHOOSE what to believe IN THAT MOMENT!
You either believe God’s Words – or satan’s lies!
NO MORE BEING A VICTIM!
Father, in Jesus’ Name, I ask You to Forgive me for every time I’ve believed satan’s lies instead of Your Words. I ask You to Forgive me for feeling defeated, repressed, depressed and oppressed. I ask You to Forgive me for giving in to the wiles of the enemy instead of standing strong in You. I will learn to stand strong in the Strength of The Lord and the Power of His Might. It is my identity in HIM, and in YOU, Father, that makes me strong! I CAN do all things through Christ Who Strengthens me! I can have a new start, a fresh anointing! I can have those things You’ve Promised me. I can forgive those who’ve hurt me and abused me, rejected me and passed me by. I can love them, anyway! I can DECIDE to no longer remember the pain and the heartache, but CHOOSE to remember WHO YOU ARE and the things YOU’VE SAID. I can embrace those who’ve hurt me, with LOVE, and give them another chance just the way You’ve Given me many chances. For You ARE The God of Great Forgiveness, Loving Kindness and Deep Compassion. I can CHOOSE to remember the things You’ve Said about me instead of the things I was told in childhood or by spouses or significant others. I can CHOOSE to value myself as a child of The Most High God!
Father, thank You for Reminding us that these spirits are often rampant in families, affecting many generations with pain, conflict, abuses, neglect, hurts and more. Thank You for Reminding us that You Are Still God, eternally, Still on Your Throne and Still in Control. These situations are meant for us to grow to become “overcomers” as Jesus Is. People are our mirrors and our schoolrooms for learning and growth. They are meant to show us what is still within us that is not like You in Your Purity, Your Holiness, Your Absolute Love and Mercy, Your Loving Kindness and Compassion. You ARE God ABOVE all situations that would take us down, defeat us, and try to keep us from the Promises and Blessings You Have Designed for our lives. Praise You, Father! God Most High! God Above all, IN all and Through all!
Now, Father, “victimization” is UNVEILED and I will not listen to satan’s lies! I will not allow my heart to be hardened from the hurts I’ve endured. I will look at each person and see YOU within them. They do not exist without YOU.
Father, thank YOU for Your Loving Kindness this day in explaining victimization that Your children may be set free from the snares, wiles, plots and plans and schemes of satan. I declare this day, that no longer will satan rob me of my blessings. No longer will he steal my joy. No longer will he turn my heart from those You’ve Given me to love and cherish. No longer will he block my blessings. No longer will I be defeated, downcast, depressed and dishonored. I have VICTORY in Christ Jesus and the FULFILLMENT of every PROMISE You Have Given to me, Father! I open the doors of my heart to love those who’ve hurt and abused me. I open my mind to understand that they too, are hurting, and have been deceived by satan in various ways. This has caused them to act in ways that have been hurtful to me. I forgive them Father, and ask that You Bless them, Nurture them and Shower them with wisdom and understanding. Heal their hearts, too, Father. Let us look at each other, Father, as children of The Most High God, who for a time, tripped and fell for satan’s ploys. No more, Father. Today, we look at each other with The Love of Christ Jesus Who Gave all by Laying Down His Life for us.
