Here is my paraphrase of this famous Psalm of David.
Psalm 23
The Lord is my Primary Carer,
He knows everything that I need.
I entrust my whole life to His keeping;
He knows what’s appropriate for me.
When the stresses of life overwhelm me,
And I slide into the valley of despair;
Then I remember His promise, “I’m with you.”
And with courage, I can persevere.
When it seems life conspires against me
And living has lost all its zest;
Then I give thanks to the Lord, for He knows me,
I can trust Him to work for my best.
Every day in our life has its troubles,
But, He promised the BEST is not yet;
When He comes all our grief will be ended,
FOREVER;
To be with Him, is as good as it gets.
