Sunday 10/7/12 Pastor Michael sermon= What Do Right People Do During Wrong Times? Psalm 11:1-7
We are experiencing the break down of our foundations. Things that we trusted for so long, financial system, the media, educational system, are broken down or destroyed. How can we handle the destruction of these foundations that we rely on. Today, God has been taken out of the education system. The USA ranks near the bottom of all countries education. Our high school graduation level is the 20th in the world. When foundations are crumbling, we need to run to the Lord. We need to trust in the truth and the truth is the Lord! We believers need to trust God no matter what CNN News says!
ďTrust in the Lord with all thy heart and lean not to thy own understandingĒ
When there is trouble we should not fear but understand that its God who will save us. Donít move in fear. God gave us love, power and a sound mind. God didnít give us the spirit of fear. The spirit of fear is of the devil! OUR GOD IS TOO BIG TO FAIL!!!
God can never fail or crumble! God took care of David, He will take care of me! God took care of Moses, He will take care of you!! Faith says go do what God said and he will provide the finances we need. Fear will immobilize you and make you not do. Do it! God told you to do it, Do It! Whatever God tells you to do, do it and stop fearing. Faith is believing what we donít see. We donít see it but are moving on what God said. Whenever it is so big that we canít do it alone then thatís God. Donít try to figure out how, just do it and God will make it so.
Jesus told Peter to step out on the water. The disciples in the boat were saying naw naw donít do it. Peter did it, stepped out of the boat and walked on water. We have to get out of the boat of comfort and step out on the water. We have to do the stuff that God tells us to do. When we get God, we get all that He has! He wants us to stop depending on our bank account and depend on God!!
