I recently joined the YMCA in order that I could exercise. I had a problem with my foot in that I had walked so much that I got a stress fracture in my right foot. I was then forced to stop walking in order that foot could heal. I since have started a regimen in which I swim an hour, use the Jacuzzi for ten minutes, and use the steam room for ten minutes. All this certainly is allowing my foot to heal. I always find that God has a plan, and He will use whatever He feels necessary for my growth in Him.
Today, when I went for my work-out, I noticed the lifeguard chair was presently empty as the lifeguard was on the other side of the pool. I looked at the chair, and I thought to myself that I could imagine Jesus sitting on the lifeguard chair and watching me as I had my swim. I feel like Jesus is certainly LIFEGUARD of my life. He watches me twenty four hours a day and asks God on my behalf for the meeting of my needs.
How wonderful it is to have Jesus as the lifeguard of my life for by His love I exist and live anyway; and I know by far that God has a plan for my life, and all I really have to do is trust and wait and persevere.© Juanita Pittman-Brown
