St. John 8:44
Ye are of your father the Devil, and the lust of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning and abode not in the truth because there is no truth in him.
When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own for he is a liar and the father of it.
A liar is one that tell lies, speaks not the truth. A lie is a false statement or piece of information deliberately presented as being true, a falsehood, anything meant to deceive or give a wrong impression to prove to be untrue, to present false information with the intent to deceive. To convey a false image or impression or to put in a specific condition through deceit.
This is what a lie is and a liar is one that tells lies.
We need to do some soul searching, take a look at ourselves and see where we are.
Satan is pronounced the father of lies and we see that all them that lie knowingly do the works of Satan and are his child and the love of God is not in them. God has nothing to do with them that they follow after to conveniently fulfill their lusts. They are usually rejected by truth, so they sit and connive to lie to cover their own hurts and rejections.
People become a liar because they deny reality of truth and they just cannot accept truth. Truth will make you see just how ugly you are inside and out. Jesus gave the parable of the wheat and the tare. He that soweth good seeds is the son of man. The field is the world, the bad seed are the children of the wicked, including all liars. The enemy that soweth them is the Devil. The Bible calls you a Devil, when you are a liar you are a Devil. You are just like your daddy, the Devil.
The harvest is the end of the world and the reapers are the angels and therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so shall it be in the end of the world. The son of man will send out his angels together out his kingdom; all things that offend and them that do iniquity and cast them into a furnace of fire there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Why would you want to be any part of that, why lie. Just tell the truth, tell the truth, except the truth, be honest, and be pure. Then shall the righteous show forth as the son in the kingdom of their father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear; if you have ears to hear, hear what the word is saying, hear what the Lord is saying. The righteous shall shine forth, just be righteous, and stay righteous. Sometimes a lie goes a long, long way and the truth takes a long time to come, but the truth does come, it doesnít matter how much people lie on you, it doesnít matter how much they just donít want to face the truth. What matters is what God say. God says heís going to bring that lie to the truth. Stand on it. God will do just what he said. I John 3:8-10 says, he that committeth sin is of the Devil, for he sinneth from the beginning. Jesus was manifest to destroy the works of the Devil. He will destroy every lie from the Devil. Whosoever is born of God does not commit sin, but his seed remains in him and he cannot sin because he is born of God. It doesnít matter how much people lie on you, donít you get caught up to sinning, donít you get caught up in their lies, donít lie on them, donít say nothing about them, just bless God anyway. Bless the Lord. Just let them go on with their lies, because God is going to step up and heís going to put a stop to every lie, even if he has to stop their mouths up with cancer. He will stop the lies in their tracks. But Godís timing is not our timing, it isnít when we think he ought to or how we think it ought to be, but itís how God wants it to be, itís in his time. In this the children of God is manifest and the children of the Devil, whosoever does not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother, youíve got to love them, even your enemies.
God said in Matthews the fifth chapter, bless those that persecute you and speak all manner of evil against you. They talked about Jesus. Jesus came to this earth to save man from their sin, to save them. Jesus did no sin but he took on the sin of the world. All he ever did was good, but the Devil lied on him. After he couldnít get him to come on his side, he lied on him. And sometime people will try to sway us to their way of thinking. Just watch and see what they do. Sometime people lie on you to protect themselves. Youíve got to look in the spirit and see where they are and forgive them, youíve got to forgive them anyway. When they canít sway us to their way of thinking they will lie on you. When we donít do what they want, they will lie on us. And when they lie on you, it makes you weary of them. Well what more God, when we lie on him and say he told us to do things and he hasnít. He doesn't know if he can trust you or not.
I Peter 5:7 say we can cast all of our cares upon him; for he careth for us. He cares about the lies that have been told on us. He cares about the lies they have spread. He cares how they have taken and tried to ruin you good name, your reputation.
Letís take a look at Peter. Peter walked with Jesus. He knew who Jesus was, he knew who God was. He was the one that God sent forth the revelation of who Jesus Christ was, he was the one that stood up and declared that Jesus, you are the Christ, the son of the living God. The Devil knows who you are. He knows if you are Godís or not. Itís not about what you say out of your mouth, but itís what you live. The Devil knows who you are.
Now look at what Peter did. Peter was walking afar off when they were carrying Jesus to the cross. And this woman recognized Peter as being one of the disciples. She said you are one that walked with Jesus, but Peter denied it three times as Jesus had already told him he would do. God already knows who you are and what you are going to do fifty years from now. There is nothing hid from him, he is God. But Peter lied, he lied saying he knew not the man, Jesus, because he thought he would be crucified for being guilty of association. He put himself in much more danger with God, than those people. Sometime we will not stand up for what is right and true because we donít want to be pulled in. Sometime people know they are guilty of something, but will lie to protect themselves. They will also lie on the next person to keep guilt off themselves. They will lie and deceive to cover up what they themselves have done.
God forbid us to lie period. Not even to protect yourself. God forbid us to lie on the next person to keep guilt off of ourselves. They will keep all eyes focused on someone else to keep anyone from uncovering the truth about them. They surround themselves with lies on somebody else to keep the truth from coming forth on themselves. They need to except the reality of the truth. Face it.
Judas also was a deceiver, the Devil tricked him. The Devil also will trick you if he can get you to become a liar. He just tricked you into Hell. Judas hung himself behind selling Jesus out for thirty pieces of silver with a kiss. We have to be careful about who we let kiss us, it may be the kiss of death.
Donít lie, or be deceived. Satan only wants to use you and when he is finished, he will destroy you. Heíll cause you to take your own life. It may be too late to quit after you are burning, donít be a liar that want quit, repent. Tell the truth, ask God to forgive you.
God has called us to follow him and to lead his people. He called us into an office of servitude, apt to serve, so you need to be truthful. He has called us to work together effectively. If you are called, your passions and burdens will keep you in your calling. If you donít have a burden or passion for people then you are a liar, God has not called you. If youíve been commissioned, you never lose focus. The mandate will pull you back. If you are committed, you stay with it.. God has called us as leaders into the different workings of the ministry. You canít work with the anointing with a lying spirit.
He has called Apostles, those who have seen God and are foremost advocates of a Christian cause. A Prophet is one who delivers a divine message with a heavenly interest or divine doctrine. An Evangelist is an inspired disciple of Christ. Under this charge Evangelist donít fear. They donít fear. A Pastor is a Christian clergy who have a church or congregation under his charge. Not a liar, but truthful, a man after Godís own heart. A Teacher is an instructor, one who imparts knowledge, who communicates, understands, and gives information.
Let me tell you about an Evangelist, an Evangelist doesn't fit into a mode that people put you into, but does what God says. An Evangelist is much lied on. A liar just wonít quit, but they donít fear, they just go on and do what God says anyway. We are called as leaders, not liars, for the work of the ministry, for the perfecting of the saints. Perfection is the highest degree of something complete without defect. It makes you flawless, thoroughly and completely skilled and informed. If you are striving to be perfect, when do you have time to be a liar? You are perfect and entire; you donít have time to be a liar. You donít have time to be lied on, but if you are, bless God.
You pray and ask God to work on me so I can be straight. You donít have time to worry about the liars out there. Itís enough to keep yourself straight. Youíve been called for the edifying of the body of Christ, to enlighten or benefit someone spiritually or morally. Take your time to uplift people to build people up, to encourage them. Youíve been called into the unity of the faith, being in harmony with God. There is no friction, all on one accord with Jesus Christ if you are in harmony with God. Bless God they lied on Jesus. God has called us to perfection or maturation. Mature people in the body of Christ have faith, and faith will take you beyond a lie. Your faith is going to bring that lie to nought. Your faith is going to bring that lie to truth. You donít have time to worry about who is lying or telling the truth; you have to keep the body of Christ together from splitting up. You have to speak the truth in love, even if it hurts. If the truth hurts, well itís going to work its own self through.
