Stop Quarreling With God.

A PASTOR SAID: “Lord, I have served you for 12years now. Why haven’t you granted my earnest request?” [Paraphrased]
GOD SAID: “Son, you have served me only 12seconds”.
I SAY: “Stop quarrelling with God”.

YOU SAY: “God has not given me good things of life that I need”.
GOD SAYS: “But I have given you life itself and all that pertain to life and godliness. Hope is for the living not for the dead. A living dog is better than a dead lion”.
I SAY: “Stop quarrelling with God”.

YOU SAY: “If only I could give birth to a son”.
GOD SAYS: “My child, I gave you at least one daughter already. You have evidence of fruitfulness. Some of my children have never been pregnant, yet they lift their hands in worship of me. If they had what I already gave you, they’d be rolling over with praises to me. You have more than millions of people do but there you are acting like I have been stingy to you”.
I SAY: “Stop quarrelling with God”.

YOU SAY: “Lord, how could you sit and watch this great opportunity slip off my hands, despite my commitments in your service”.
GOD SAYS: “But I have given you an opportunity to be better and have empowered you to pursue, to overtake and to, without fail, recover all that you lost. If only you could bend down and look! If only you could stoop down, take your eyes off the obstacles and look beneath the obstacles. If you would do this, you’d be greatly shocked at the vast treasure that I have securely stored up for you underneath the obstacles that you see”.
I SAY: “Stop quarreling with God”.

YOU SAY: “My mates are far ahead of me being successful in life and endeavour”.
GOD SAYS: “Life is not a competition, my dear child. What you call ‘success’ is necessarily not success by my own standards. Remember, uncountable folks who are younger than you are dead already or alive but living in insanity; destitute. Some are homeless and beggars without food, shelter or clothing. Stop whining, my child. Stop using your age, school mates, whoever or whatever as a yardstick for success. Commit yourself to accomplishing your purpose for living in this generation. The one who completes the tasks of personal purpose is the one who is successful”.
I SAY: “Stop quarreling with God”.

YOU SAY: “At this stage of my life, I have no house of my own. What a shame I’m living in”.
GOD SAYS: “Even the foxes have holes but all through my Son’s life on earth, He had not a place to lay His head; whether rented, built, leased or purchased. That factor did not stop Him from completing His reason for being on earth for a while. Now, He has dominion over the whole heavens, the earth and the universe. He also has a name above all names and, daily, He prepares mansions (not mere rooms or bungalows or condos or duplexes) for His loyal, diligent, faithful followers and co-heirs who carefully tread in His steps.
“You have an incorruptible, indestructible home in my Kingdom in the Celestial City. Trust Jesus and walk each day as He would. Walk in my perfect will so as to possess your eternal home. Be not influenced by men’s mockery or by the celebration of materialism. Hold on. In a little while, you will live in your house of inestimable worth in the city of gold, pearls, precious stones, crystal clear rivers, glassy sea, eternal light and eternal melody”.
I SAY: “Stop quarreling with God”.

YOU SAY: “Father, how is it that your promises are not becoming real in my life? How is it that my prayers and labour of love are not yielding expected results? Why have obstacles persisted? Why do I experience failure at the edge of success? Why am I living below my capacity?”
GOD SAYS: “Do you faithfully and honestly bring me your tithes, first fruits and offerings of all that you own? Are you still running away from divine covenant of service to my kingdom? Have you pulled down anti-Christ altars in your father’s house? Gideon had might and valour embedded in him but lived as the least member of the least family of the least clan of the least tribe of Israel. God’s angel called him, “mighty man of valour” in Judges 6:12 but he did not operate in that capacity or assume that status in life until he had obeyed God’s instructions and denounced baal the gods of his father by destroying baal’s altars and places of worship. Only then was he able to put the enemies to flight and secured a whole country with the joint effort of about one hundredth of the army only.
“See, I am Faithful and I cannot become unfaithful because of you. My promises are sure. If my promises to you are hindered, look inward. The problem lies with you. The ball is in your court, my child. If you examine yourself without any findings, ask of me and I will show you great mighty that you ought to know that you do not know. Jeremiah 33:3”.
I SAY: “Stop quarrelling with God”.

YOU SAY: “My savings are not enough for the sunny day talk less of being enough for the rainy day”.
GOD SAYS: “I clothe the grasses and flowers of the field and adorn them with astonishing beauty. I feed the beasts of the world; wild and tamed. The ants are in my payroll. Even the wicked and the ungodly eat of my benevolence. You are more precious and valuable to me for I bought you for the highest price that ever was, that is and that ever will be – the Blood of my only Son, Jesus Christ. I am your sufficiency”.
I SAY: “Stop quarrelling with God”.
