The turn of the 1st century A.D., brought forth the first known moveable type developed in China, followed closely by Korea. Throughout Europe in the 400 years after that, many new type settings and materials were tested, culminating in 1455 when Johannes Gutenburg printed the Gutenburg Bible.
The Renaissance movement was born on the back of this amazing technological breakthrough. The invention of the printing press revolutionized communication and book production leading to the spread of knowledge.
Through knowledge we can gain understanding, but it is only by revelation that great wisdom is born. We need to learn to ask the Holy Spirit to unlock the keys of scripture to us so that we may gain from the bountiful wisdom stored in the word of God.
