If you're not heard for all your words,
you're not treated like a person.
I know that fate; I was not heard,
silenced by their cursing.
For the loves left so betrayed,
the warmth of heart left in the cold,
betrayal kissed Me, as he strayed,
gave Me to hands of sin so bold.
Share with Me this fellowship;
come and know the common bond.
Purpose reigns when there's a slip;
when life recoils and one's not strong.
I know the offended, objects of sin,
when love was the righteous answer.
Sin would beat Me; My body caved in;
I, the object of Man's cancer.
I see the abused, in response to their love,
shamed and left for broken.
I met that shame on a cross above;
their hatred had loudly spoken.
Share with Me this fellowship;
know with Me this common bond.
I still reign when the world will slip;
when life recoils and one's not strong.
You were made to walk My path,
that you would know My love for you.
See that we've faced a common wrath,
our common bond uncommonly true.
My love drove Me to be like you,
and so I came into this world.
So be like Me; walk this life through,
all your sins I have hurled.
Then when you see Me, we will know,
what we've left behind.
You'll see My scars, for them I'll show
and what you endured was far more kind.
"that I may know...the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death..." (See Philippians 3, esp. vs. 10)
Reason for our hardship, when we have it. Jesus gives that for us when we choose to see that we endure, though only in small fashion, what He endured living in a world of sin. We live in this world because we have no choice; it is simply the Lord's will.
By that same will of God, Jesus chose to be in this world like us, out of love, for love drives the lover to be like the one loved.
We are called to do the same, if we truly love Him in return. This becomes the fellowship, what we can have in common, with Him.
