One need only read the daily news paper, or tune into the local TV station, too realize how many world powers seem to be against the country Israel.
Yes, Israel is special as God Himself gave a stern "blessing" or "curse", with respect to this people. And it all depends how a nation or people except or reject Israel. ( Genesis 12:3 )
Here we see that through this posterity all the earth would be blessed. It is very important to understand God's call for the gentile race, as adopted Sons and Daughters of Abram, and Israel as a nation. ( Isaiah 66:7-8 )
And, as in all of God's other prophecies, this too will stand from now to eternity. ( Joshua 21:45 ) ( Luke 1:37 ) ( 1 Kings 8: 56-61 )( Psalm 145:13-14 )
Not only did God commission the Jewish state of Israel, as His chosen people, but Jesus Himself even wept for the capital, Jerusalem, as they had left their first love. (Luke 19:41).
Regardless of your stand on the Middle East, any country that stands against Israel, is treading on thin ice if the country considers any philosophy outside of Gods eternal protection of Israel. ( John 3:18 ) ( 1 Peter 4:17 ) ( Romans 2: 1-5 ) Have you checked the weather patterns lately ? Have you checked all the criminal abuse going on lately ? Have you checked all the civil disturbances lately ? Have you check the economy lately ? Not to mention the food prices or the gasoline prices. ( Psalm 1: 1-6 )
We are indeed living in peerless times, when one misguided spoken phrase could possible trigger an all out confrontation among nations. However, by the same token, no free country can afford to stand by and let any evil ungodly rouge country attempt to take over a region or take over the world. This has been tried throughout history, and never has worked. ( Obadiah 1:15 ) ( Psalms 122:6-7 )
You see, God commands us to stand and fight, for what's right. ( 2 Chronicles 7:14 ) ( Ephesians 6:10-17 )
We are not privy to, nor do we know, when our religious setting will be changed, in accordance with God's prophetic word. So, put action to your prayer, as a definite promise follows those who pray for Israel (Jerusalem). God blesses those who love and Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
Why support Israel, why pray for Israel ? The answer is found in God's Holy Scriptures. You see, many human souls are suffering, struggling and fighting, just to thrive in this hot spot. But most importantly, God commands our support and aid of Israel throughout the Bible.( Psalms 148:14 ) ( Zech 2:8 ) (Deut 32:8-11 ) (Psalm 33:11-12 ) ( Psalm 102:13-18 ) ( Isaiah 62: 1, 6-7 ) ( Psalm 122: 4, 6-9 ) ( Zech 8: 7-8 ) ( Ezekiel 37: 27-28 )
So it is my prayer, beloved, that you will join in praying for this tiny country, way over in the center of the world.
