Worry is an awful thing,
it can control your life.
It dominates your actions,
it causes pain and strife
Why dwell upon your problems,
of money, work or home?
Why lie awake in bed at night
and curse the dark alone?
Can you by worry change events,
or prevent them with your tears?
It makes no sense to cry at all,
or live with all those fears.
So when your feeling lonely,
and need a helping hand.
When everything’s on top of you,
and life you cannot stand.
Think back to times of yesterday,
when youth was in your blood!
When worry never crossed your mind,
and everything seemed good.
The child you were again can be,
your worries are no more.
Just put your hands together,
and kneel upon the floor.
Ask and it shall be given,
seek God above in prayer.
He’ll answer all your questions,
and show he really cares.
Your burdens will be lifted,
at peace again you’ll be.
No worries for tomorrow,
Christ has set you free.
