"Cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you." 1 Peter 4:7.
God is a good listener and wants to hear about all the things that are bothering you.
I tend to bottle things up for months and then tell God everything in one day. It gets to the point when I think I'm going to explode. I can feel it welling up inside and keep it there till it all comes out at once. It is still effective and I speak to God out loud about these things. It may not be good policy to bottle things up too long, or your adversity may be too much.
It seems the same as prayer. If I am silent God won't do anything for me. If I keep my troubles to myself, God may do nothing about them. So I have to pray for others and myself out loud for it to be effective. Also tell Him out loud about my amassed problems, or He won't intervene. This works for me as the norm.
I think of God as a counsellor, a listener. I don't ask Him for anything during these unburdening sessions. Just tell him all my problems. I know He cares because there is a response in the real world.
It's crucial to speak up to God about my rights. If I'm being silenced or suppressed by man or Satan, it matters not. God matters and I have Him on my side. For me and with me. I will have my say with him now, not just the afterlife.
God is a great listener. Think of the number of prayers of yours He's heard and then answered. Even as a Christian I listen to other people and sometimes at many levels, intending to pray about the things they are telling me. God is a much more developed listener than I am. He cares when I speak and wants to help me. He does.
