Like a glass globe that's been turned upside down,
Christmas looks like the swirling snowflakes, ready to cover the ground.
Like a child's tender hug that's treasured so very much,
That's what it feels like--the season's special touch.
Like Mama's homemade breakfast, calling everybody to rise and shine,
That's the same delicious scent, tickling your nose at Christmastime.
Like the familiar voice you're longing to hear,
The gentle sounds of Christmas are loud and clear.
It's Jesus Christ--our Savior's birth we celebrate today,
Because He's the One--the One who makes Christmas feel this way.
Soon the Christmas feeling begins to fade--but doesn't disappear,
Because the warmth of God's love is wrapped in the brand new year.
