They meet at the horizon,
these two impassioned lovers.
What we have seen; our eyes have fixed on;
a love unlike any other.
Their love is like the day:
bright and full of promise.
Witnesses wish for it to stay;
to their regret an onus.
Their love is like the night:
quiet and full of hidden things.
They moan and swoon, oh, so right;
we fantasize what it brings.
Earth and Sky, tell us why,
we're allowed to see your meeting?
Will it live, will it die,
your love like ours, so fleeting?
Yet, they are lost in their kiss;
they're unaware of us.
In their passion will they miss
their end for which we'll fuss?
