To take note of the future!
Hmmm ... What do I want out of life???
I want selflessness;
Being able to help others besides myself.
I want to put my needs to the side,
As I analyze the needs of someone worse off.
I want abundant joy;
By watching a loving parent take care of their child.
I want to be able to smile in the midst of pain,
I want to see the sunshine even in rain.
I want true friendship;
Friends that will check on me, pick me up when I'm falling.
I want to also be a friend to the lonely, disregarded, and unappreciated.
I want a real, golden friendship!
I want world peace;
Where countries will reason with each other,
Where America would return to the land of the free!
I want wars to cease, I want voices to be heard!
Let "love" be the tie to the laws of each land!
I want equal opportunity;
Blacks, whites, Haitians, foreigners ...
All having the chance to get good jobs and good homes.
All having the chance to practice their style of worship and beliefs.
I want Atheists to even have their own holiday!
I want to be favored;
Money overflowing from my pockets!
World publicity in newspapers, books, and magazines!
I want to dress classy,
My want the crowd to say, "Boy, he's sassy!"
Unfulfilling wants;
Wants that may never be satisfied.
I'm fine with it, I'm cool
Cause my needs sure get met!
