I remember the day we married and
The promises I made you.
I promised to love you for the rest of my life
Even when you are not likeable and
During the times when life hurts.
I promised to support you emotionally,
Encourage you always,
Comfort you when needed and
Nurture you in everything I do.
I promised to be your helper,
Your partner,
To mesh my life with you,
To be one and no longer two.
I renew those promises to you because
I love you more today than on that day.
