“Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.“ Matthew 4:4 NIV
Most of us will never know what it means to starve. We have food on our tables to sustain our physical needs. But, we have fed on mere morsels and are hungry as we consider how empty our hearts have become.
We hunger for peace and calm in a world that is hurting. We hunger for good health, and a spirit of content. We hunger for purpose and hope, and realize we are hungry for so much more…
God satisfies hunger for those who want to be fed. He prepares us to receive nourishment for our souls, as we place our hope in Him. He waits to be invited to our tables, so we can be filled by His loving gift of grace.
Only God can satisfy the hunger of our hearts, and provide us with His perfect peace. When we have been nourished by His love, we will begin to recognize how it feels to finally be full.
Dear God, Thank you for filling us with Your loving presence. Only You can satisfy the hunger of our hearts and lead us toward a place of peace and content.
