Lost In The House

One Sunday in October 2008, Reverend Elroy Patrick* encouraged the saints during an evening service and it got me thinking:
One saint recognised that the trials she was going through were for the benefit of others and as the Holy Spirit revealed to Rev. Patrick, he related the following to her:
"You are going through the fire and will come out pure gold. Don't even worry about a thing!"
He then addressed another lady who shared a story of money she had lost for over three years which was found in the house earlier in the week, all in tact and at a time she was in need. He told her that God is restoring the years that the locust had stolen (see Joel 2;25). Then he moved on to say that: "Even in the house, we can be lost."
As I reflected on what Rev. Patrick said, I recognised why I have been so passionate about writing to edify the church. It is for this very reason of being lost in the church. Many are in the house of God, but they are lost. Some are trying to find their way but can't seem to get the help they need. Others don't even realise that indeed they are lost. I have experienced both. And as the Holy Spirit opens my eyes and teaches me, I understand that I too am commissioned to open their eyes so that they can turn from their darkness to light, according to Acts 26:16-18.
I believe that this is one of the areas of ministry in which I am called, for this season. I pray that I will be an effective instrument for Christ as I allow Him to work through me to minister to His beloved ones. I am still in the Potter's House (see Jeremiah 18:2-4) going through the process and I can see beauty on the horizon. So if you are going through your process of refining, stay the course. It won't be long now! Don't give up! You have already received the victory just go through the process in order to retrieve your pearl. In Isaiah 43:2, God promised that you will go through the fire and not get burnt. He said He will be with you as you pass through the waters. I am a witness. He fulfils His promise to His children. His Word is truth and it is life, if you choose to believe. The journey has been painful and lonely but I have not drowned and He¡¦s walking with me as I go through the valley. Keep pressing towards the goal my sisters and brothers and keep standing on the solid ROCK! He will never let you down.
God bless you!
