The pressure of times
That burden my soul,
Anxieties and worries-
Will I ever be whole?
The neediness of others,
Their fears, their selfishness,
And hiding from the truth
Has drained my energy away,
Bringing me to a place
Where I must protect
And defend what is mine..
I nurture my spirit and soul
In the solitude and peace
Of Your presence.
Fill me again and help me stand
For I am weak and needy.
Revive and strengthen me
That I may live and work
In Your strength and not my own;
That I may trust You
To work out all things
For my good,
And that Your purpose
Would be fulfilled in my life.
