The autumn of the year is beckoning. Soon we will lie aside dog days of summer and snuggle up under quilts to ward off the chill. We’ll bring out sweaters and jackets and store away beach towels. Leaves will begin to fall and temperatures will drop. We adapt to the change of the seasons.
We need a change of heart. “God, create a clean heart for me and renew a steadfast spirit within me (Psalm 51:10 HCS).” The Lord God changes the seasons and He alone can change a corrupt heart, darkened by sin. His grace and mercy transforms a heart of indifference to hungering for the living God. Fall is in the air and change is in the heart!
