With God Things All Things Are Conditional

II Peter1:3-4 His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue. Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises; that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Revelation 2:10 be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

Conditional, why do we say the blessings are conditional? The blessings of God make us rich and add no sorrow with it. The blessing though may be temporal or spiritual. To be blessed means God has bestowed and conferred His favors and benefits upon us. It is also manís adoring of God for His goodness and the returning of thanks when we bless God. No the invoking of Godís favor on a person which includes how we greet one another and God. It is a declaration of divine favor on someone or something, a benediction, a wish of happiness pronounce or a gift. We all want to be blessed by God but it is conditional; the probability that a given event will occur if it is certain that another event has taken place or will take place. It is predicated upon how we live, treat each other, love and trust God, and how well we obey His Commandments and His Word.

Deuteronomy 28 tells us of the blessings of God for obedience and the cursing for disobedience. It simply means that if we want to be blessed we must kill whatever idea, thought, or sin that comes our way to take us away from the blessing of God. We must see God as He is, do what His Word says we should do and understand that He means what He says. It is better to sacrifice the little pleasure or joy we obtain from sin for a moment than sacrifice our blessings from God for a lifetime. When God curse man no one can bless him and when God bless man no man can curse. We control our own destiny; we must choose the blessings rather than the cursing. There are many blessings but only one curse, why? What must I do to bypass the curse? If we want our prayers answered we need to change us.

II Chronicles 7:14 If my people which are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. We must have a will to do; change us. We cannot get to a point of blessing because we havenít realized yet that the blessing of God is conditional. We the people of God ought to be ashamed at the praise we offer God. We canít get to that place of worship and true praise until we really learn how to listen and obey. If we are the called; the anointed of God we should hear Him through His Word and His Spirit. We are to be led by Him.
How do we be led; spirit led and controlled?

Firstly we must humble our self under the mighty hand of God. That means we are no longer proud, haughty, or arrogant in our ways. That spirit of deference leaves and we learn how to come low and meekly before God in humility and pray; not demanding or thinking that God owe us anything. When we pray we submit our petition to God and is willing to accept the answer God gives. We come unpretentiously seeking his face modestly free from ostentation (excessive display, pretentiousness), elegance (refined grace or dignified propriety dignified gracefulness) or affectation (the act of taking on or displaying an attitude or mode of behavior not natural to oneself or not genuinely felt). When we forget about ourselves in prayer we seek Godís face.

After we humble ourselves and pray we earnestly seek God which means we will search for Him, look for Him and go to Him and try to discover the more of him. Then and only then can we make an attempt to search out the iniquity in us that separates us from God. We need to see ourselves wrong that we may turn away from it. We must first realize that we are wicked before we turn from our wicked ways. Most Christians will never admit to being wicked. Our relationship with God is affected by our unwillingness to accept this truth. Wickedness is evil and means we are morally very bad. The mischief we get into, the vicious acts toward one another, the fierce lies we tell on one another, all of the disgust we show to our sisters and brothers that donít think like we do and the unpleasantness we show to strangers is evil. Wickedness is going beyond reasonable or predictable limits with an exceptional quality or degree to be ugly. Godly Christians donít act ugly and get stuck in their ways. We need to turn away from our wicked ways.

Now we are ready to get a breakthrough in prayer and receive the blessings of the Lord. He will hear from heaven and forgive our sin and will heal the land. Our land is sick because we as the people of God is lacking in prayer; righteous fervent prayer. We come to God for our wants but forget about the need of the salvation of the world. Selfishness and self-righteousness has no place in the heart of God. God is not pleased! We donít want God to turn his face away from the anointed; the one clothed in salvation and rejoice in goodness. God wants his name to be sanctified in the hearts of man not just a byword. He said after we would have done what He requires of us his eyes shall open and his ears will be attentive to our prayer. God says that he have chosen and sanctified us that his name may be in our mouth forever and his eyes and heart shall be within us perpetually; blooming continuously in us throughout our lives indefinitely.

The blessings of God are conditional. We have begun a good work and must continue to grow in it. Temporal blessings only relate to times and seasons in our earthly life as opposed to the spiritual blessings which are eternal in the heavens. They are secular rather than clerical or sacred but are conditional. God supplies all of our need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Eyes have not seen nor ears heard; neither has it entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for them that love him. If we come to know him we will love Him and if we love Him we will obey Him. Then and only then can we live the Gospel. This is our uphill solution to our downhill experiences. We have to want to do right. We have been called God ordained change agents and we cannot cause change if we donít change. When we go from under the protection of God our souls are in trouble.

We must realize that this is not our home forever. Our bodies are not ours. God created and made man; spiritual first then natural. Through disobedience we reversed the order and now through obedience we bring the order of God back again. Jesus died to bring this order back to the Father where man is concerned. We are so out of order we fail to realize that with God things are conditional; if you will then God will and if you donít do what God requires He donít do what we want of Him. Genesis 49:25 even by the God of thy fathers who shall help thee and by the Almighty who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lie under; blessings of the breast, and of the womb. God has also blessed the works of our hands and showed mercy to them that love him and keep His Commandments.

God wants his blessings to overtake us but we have to hearken to the voice of the Lord. We must not let the book of the law depart out of our mouths. We are to meditate on the Word day and night that we may observe to do according to all that is written therein. We will make our way prosperous and we shall have good success. We are to fulfill the statutes and judgments which the Lord has charged us with. Then we have to be strong and of good courage as we walk this walk of grace to hold on to Godís unchanging hand. We have a call to not be dismayed nor be dreadful. If we obey and serve God we shall spend our days in prosperity and our years in pleasure. The Lord is our shepherd and we shall not want. He knows what we have need of and our wants; He is God. The young lions do lack and suffer hunger; but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing. Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits, even the God of our Salvation.

All things are conditional with God because of the choice man has to serve, believe, love, obey and trust God. Just like we trust him for temporal things we must trust him for the spiritual. The spiritual blessings come after the temporal mind has been made up and proven. Gifts come a dime a dozen but the spiritual gifts of God is conditional. Even though we may be born with the gift we choose to properly nourish it where God can use it. Godís gifts operate under the leading and guiding of the Holy Ghost. We will know that the Lord is our strength and song, and he is become our salvation. He wonít plead against us with his great power but he would put strength in us. If we wait on the Lord and be of good courage he will strengthen our hearts if we hope in him. Everything with God is conditional. If we be righteous the Lord will uphold us. He will bring forth his righteousness in us as the light. If we cast our burdens upon him He will sustain us. He will never suffer the righteous to be moved. No good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly. David said in the day he cried the Lord answered him and strengthen him with strength in his soul. He will do the same for us today.

God is able to make us to stand. By the grace of God we are who we are. Godís grace is not bestowed upon us in vain we have to labor for it. God has given us weapons to pull down strongholds but we have to use them. God is able to keep us if we allow his power to work in us. If we allow Him to work in us he is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. We are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. We provide the faith that moves God. We study to know more of Him that He may reveal himself to us that we endure to the end that we be saved.

Not only are we alive but we are to be alive in Christ. Godliness with contentment is great gain. Every promise of God is conditional. Man retaining the first state of holiness and purity was based on one fact; that they eat not of the tree in the midst of the garden. Man is never satisfied; they had all those trees around them with many fruit, why would they want the forbidden one? Now we must face the conditionality of God. We donít have to face them alone though we have help. Jesus brought us back to the Father and the Holy Ghost is here to help us finish our walk here in the earth. We have a choice today to do or die; to be blessed or cursed.
