It was the days of the homestead, country schools, and dirt roads the seemed to always lead home.
Grandma and the boys walked to the church in the little village.
Grandpa read the Bible at home.
One day a son stayed home to see why Grandpa did not go along to church. There followed a lesson, not forgotten.
Grandpa read of one mediator between God and man, the resurrected Lord Jesus Christ and Saviour, alone having eternal life, which is also promised to believers in Him at the time of resurrection. He told of faith in the spirit of the Christ within, of trust in the living,
resurected Christ in the heavens.
The story lived on to be told years later.
