As We Age
Matthew 12:25-30 and Jesus knew their thoughts and said unto them, every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand; and if Satan cast out Satan he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand? And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges. But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God then the kingdom of God is come unto you. Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house. He that is with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.
There is a withering away from the things that brought us to God in the beginning of our salvation. Through trials and temptations of the flesh we have been drawn away of our own lusts for recognition, power, and authority. What brings us on the scene is able to keep us on the scene if we continue therein. We have been called to reclaim the backslider and sinner but instead we become what we were to reclaim. There must be a hunger and thirst for the things of God that we must have daily just as we desire food every day. Righteousness and Holiness must once begin to prevail in the lives of the Christian that change may once again be seen by the sinner.
The love of many that once had a deep profound love for God like no other has waxed cold. But why is this so? Matthew 24:12 and because iniquity shall abound; the love of many shall wax cold. Jezebel was a bad girl, but God gave her a time to repent. Jezebel loved herself. She loved power and authority. Jezebel not only dressed the part she lived the part. She had no respect for her husband; she did what she wanted to do no matter what he said. She felt that she was not only equal with him in authority; but more powerful than he. She went behind his back and did things she had no business doing. Iniquity was bound in her heart. She was called to be a wife; a helpmeet but she wasn’t satisfied with being that. She wanted to be the man and the woman. We as women have lost consciousness of who we are and our roles in life. God is not pleased. The man need to step up and the woman step down. We have caused mankind to act in ways ungodly with our actions; reversal of roles.
The blood thin out and loose its thickness naturally as we age. Well the righteous blood of Jesus Christ has come upon us spiritually that He shed on Calvary’s Cross. His blood was to circulate in the vascular system of the Spirit conveying nourishment to all parts of the body and killing all the waste of sin in our lives. We are told that the life is in the blood naturally and spiritually. The blood is the life. Jesus in Matthew 26:28 declared for this is my blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. His blood shed covers sin and we have redemption, forgiveness, and God’s grace. If we walk in the light as he is in the light we have fellowship one with another, and the blood cleanses us from all sin. But once sin abound again the blood covering begin to thin out. We lose our witness in the earth, the spirit, and the water and the blood. We lose our witness in heaven the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost.
The bones ache because we have ceased to walk circumspectly in the world. We walk as fools instead. The Christian once was cautious in what they did. No longer are we concerned with being prudent or vigilant. No longer do we cut the excess out of our lives. We go to the extreme to be accepted by the world when it should be the other way around. We have set examples for others to follow that is not like Christ. The bones Jesus brought back together as they were put in place by the Father in the beginning are now beginning to wither away with cancer. Cancer is a curse for sin. Once God delivers us from something the Devil is always there to bring it back. How does he do that? He waits on us to sin again. Bones is a synonym for the body, living or dead, or the person.
The life fades because there is no endurance. When a man’s life is fading away they have no desire to live. We have lost our desire to live for God. We fail to keep the last seven of His Commandments definitely aborting the first three on the way. The first one thou shall love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all; thy mind. Thou shall not make graven images yet we put things before God every day. We are to love thy neighbor as thyself; treat others as you want to be treated. We have come into a battle and we must use the weapons God has given us to fight with because the battle is not ours, it’s the Lords. We have entered the war on sin so we must continue our endurance not to sin.
The Church, us, we need a healing. We need deliverance from ourselves for we are our own worst enemy. Within us is a house and that house is divided. There is in this house an entity that dries the blood of Jesus up in our lives. Jesus told us in Matthew 12:25 that every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand. Satan seeks to divide the church until it ceases to exist. How can he do this when Jesus built the church on a solid foundation? Well foundations sometime cracks because of pressure. Because of the pressures that we face, we lose hope, we stop believing, and we stop communicating with God. We are lacking in faith which is doubt and unbelief.
Satan cannot take anything God gives us away. He doesn’t have that kind of power so it has to be us. We are divided from God. We don’t study, pray, or celebrate in praise and worship as we once did. We have taken God for granted. We try to live off of yesterday when every day is something new with God. God have new mercies every day. For the truth’s sake that dwells in us and shall be with us forever as we age we should walk in truth. The love we follow is to walk after His Commandments. Many deceivers have entered into the world today who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh; they are antichrist. We have to look to ourselves that we lose not those things which we have gained spiritually that we receive the full reward of not only Jesus Christ but God also.
As we age in Christ we cannot afford to take our eyes off of the prize; eternal life. We are always warned against certain nominal Christians who threaten to undermine and destroy the fellowship of believers by their immoral character and conduct. Those who follow in their path can be certain of god’s judgment. Believers are to show a constructive and spiritual love for which Christ can grow as we remember the mercy of Christ towards us. We must also show mercy towards those that are in sin that they too may be saved. How do we judge who will be saved or not? When we were in sin we too denied the Lord Jesus Christ. We must earnestly contend for the faith that was once delivered to us and follow those things that Jesus taught that we should follow.
Let you light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify the Father; not you. Take heed that you do not your alms before men, to be seen of them. Be therefore perfect even as the Father which is in heaven is perfect; those things we know to do, do them. Take no thought for tomorrow; don’t get caught up in the hype of making it big but keep a low role today. Don’t be so judgmental, for what you say you shall of that saying reap. Judge not according to appearance, but righteously for what you see may not be what you see at all. Keep the Commandments of God that we may abide in His love. Have faith in God; render unto every man his due and forget not God. Keep good company, walk with the wise and you shall be wise. If we keep company with fools we will soon be acting foolish and destroy ourselves.
Don’t be a partaker in other men sin, but withdraw yourself. Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness but rather reprove them. Let no man deceive you as you age with vain words for this brings the wrath of God upon us because we fall into disobedience. People argue over what day we should celebrate God; what day should we celebrate Christ? Well everyday belongs to God and every day we are celebrate Christ and what He did for us that we may have eternal life. In the time of Jesus the day was from 6 p.m. to 6 p.m. We now have 12 a.m. to 12 a.m. No matter every day is a day of thanksgiving. Saturday is the Sabbath being the seventh day of the week and Sunday is the Lord’s Day which is the first day of the week. The Devil keeps us distracted with things that don’t matter. As we age we ought to grow out of the knick knacks of Satan himself.
Just as seasons change to meet God’s need in the earth, we too as the people of God need to change our ways to meet God’s need in the earth. We need to submit to His Will and do His Word that we keep His Way. The Devil puts stumbling blocks in our way to trip us up that will be detrimental to our progress in Christ. When we know the Lord’s Will and fail to follow it we will face many stripes. We are to live peaceably with all men.
Today is the day to tell Satan to get thee hence Satan for it is written that thou shall worship the Lord thy God, and him only shall thou serve. I want a pure heart, I want to be righteous, I want to be free, sanctified, and I know that it is not God’s will that I perish. For God so loved the world that He gave is only begotten Son for me that I should believe on Him and have everlasting life. He didn’t come to condemn me, but to save me. He said if I drink of the water that Christ gives I will never thirst but out of my belly shall flow rivers of living water. Christ came that I may be saved. I am an overcomer because Christ overcame the world. My faith is in God and Satan you can go your way. As I grow in Christ I come to know the more of God and I love Him.
Start growing as you age today. Confess Christ before men. Realize the revelation of who Christ is only comes through God revealing it to us and the Holy Ghost keeping it alive. That’s why it’s so important to feed the Spirit of God in us that He continues to grow on us as we age in Him. Whosoever will give his life to Christ shall not lose it but better it through salvation. Salvation is ours today if we want it. Come after Him, deny yourself, take up the cross and follow Jesus today and every day that we be found worthy of Him.
Do you want to grow as you age? Jesus said no man come to me except the Father which hath sent me draw him, and I will raise him up at the last day. Do you want to be raised up with Christ? Come!
