Art aficionados sure get excited when they come upon a painting by a master like Picasso or Rembrandt in which the signature is clearly visible. It assures the painting's worth in the millions of dollars. How much more the signature of the Creator upon each human soul! Even as no two signatures that you or I sign are ever exactly the same if examined microscopically, so the signature of the Creator is never exactly the same from soul to soul. If one could decipher it closely one would detect in each soul the unique difference of the divine signature. The familiar acronym for GOD applies here: Generator Of Diversity G-O-D. We can spend our lifetimes plumbing the depths of the mysteries of that signature upon our souls. When we think we have "solved" one part of it or come to understand better that part, another part is highlighted by experience or circumstance that seems strange and the mystery is replenished. Each of us is, after all, a masterpiece; that is -a piece of The Master. And when those masterpieces interweave and intermingle and inter-relate according to Plan, we function and flow together as the corporate poem which is the Body of Christ. (See Ephesians 2 v10: "we are His workmanship or poema" - Greek root for our word "poem".
