What brings you pleasure? Is it a big breakfast, to start you off, or a Downy scented comforter on your bed, at the close of a grueling day? Do you sigh with satisfaction with a cup of tea, or when gazing at a sensational sunset? Surely, you can quickly recall names of loved ones and friends who pleasure you. Have you ever contemplated, the extraordinary blessing, of bringing pleasure to the Lord?
“The Lord takes pleasure in those who reverently and worshipfully fear Him, in those who hope in His mercy and loving-kindness (Psalm 147:11 Amplified Bible).” Imagine Him smiling, or heaving a sigh, when we humble ourselves and bow our heads in prayer. Each time we acknowledge His holiness, and worship Him in Spirit and truth, He may point us out to the heavenly host. Enter His presence with praise! Pleasure Him always!
