Hebrews Part 13

1 of 2

We are now finishing the final chapter of Hebrews. The book written to those tribes of Israel scattered abroad that were familiar with the Word of God. Today to anyone that believes in and loves the Lord Jesus Christ. Let’s continue:

Hebrews 13:1 “Let brotherly love continue.”
brotherly (Strong’s 5360) fraternal affection; brotherly love (kindness), love of the brethren; (from Strong’s 5361) fond of brethren, i.e. fraternal; love as brethren; (from Strong’s 5384) dear, i.e. a friend; active fond, i.e. friendly (still as a noun, an associate, neighbor); friend, and (from Strong’s 80) a brother (literally or figuratively) near or remote.

Keep the fraternal or brotherly love of the other believers. Be encouraging and ready to allow God to plant seeds of His Word and use you to encourage the other believers in Him. Like your family, your friends, your neighbors and anyone He puts into your life. This word here, brotherly, is the same as the word, Philadelphia, one of the two out of the seven churches in Philadelphia which the Lord approved in Revelation. Let’s go there and see why:

Revelation 3:7 “And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; ‘These things saith He That is Holy, He That is True, He That hath the key of David, He That openeth, and no man shutteth, and shutteth, and no man openeth;”
Revelation 3:8 “I know they works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept My word, and hast not denied My name.”
Philadelphia (Strong’s 5359) king of Pergamos, a place in Asia Minor; (from the same as Strong’s 5361) fond of brethren, i.e. fraternal; love as brethren; (from Strong’s 5384) dear, i.e. a friend; active fond, i.e. friendly (still as a noun, an associate, neighbor); friend, and (from Strong’s 80) a brother (literally or figuratively) near or remote.

Philadelphia meaning brotherly love. Then once we know the Word of God nobody can take that truth from us. They key of David meaning that Jesus came as the Son of David through that family as in Luke Chapter 3 we see His geneology through Mary’s mother’s family’s lineage. Then when Satan comes before Jesus and sits on God’s throne in Jerusalem as in II Thessalonians 2:3-4 creating an apostasy, or the world going against it’s religious belief and worship him, the son of perdition, the elect will not be affected by his lies and deception as here:

Revelation 9:4 “And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.”

Those with that key of David that Jesus did come and overcome the power of death, that is the devil, as in Hebrews 2:14 is the seal of God. Once that truth is known nobody can take that from you. Other religions today do not believe as in Judaism and in Islam that Jesus was the Messiah, so when Satan comes and sits in God’s throne claiming to be God, Satan will fulfil the role of Jesus for Christians, Messiah, Mohammed, Buddha, or whomever is the religious leader you believe in. Then going on here they also teach who the synagogue of Satan are:

Revelation 3:9 “Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.”
Revelation 3:10 “Because thou hast kept the word of My patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon the whole world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.”
Revelation 3:11 “Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.”
Revelation 3:12 “Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the Temple of My God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of My God, and the name of the city of My God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from My God: and I will write upon him My new name.”
Revelation 3:13 “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.’”
Jews (Strong’s 2453) Judean, or resident of Judea; i.e. belonging to Jehudah; (from Strong’s 2448) Judah, a part of (or place in) Palestine; (Strong’s Hebrew 3063) celebrated; Jehovah (or Judah), the name of five Israelites, or the tribe descended from the first, and of its territory.

Those that say they are Jews but really are from the synagogue of Satan. These are the Kenites, or the son of Cain. That serpent’s seed of Genesis 3:15, or Cain’s offspring. Jesus taught exactly who they are here:

Matthew 13:24 “Another parable put He forth unto them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:”
Matthew 13:25 “But while men slept his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.”
Matthew 13:26 “But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.”
Matthew 13:27 “So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, ‘Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? From whence then hath it tares?’”
Matthew 13:28 “He said unto them, ‘An enemy hath done this.’ The servants said unto him, ‘Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?’”
Matthew 13:29 “But he said, ‘Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.”
Matthew 13:30 “Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, ‘Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.’’”
Matthew 13:36 “Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and His disciples came unto Him, saying, “Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.”
Matthew 13:37 “He answered and said unto them, “He That soweth the good seed is the Son of man;”
Matthew 13:38 “The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;”
Matthew 13:39 “The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.”
Matthew 13:40 “As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.”
Matthew 13:41 “The Son of man shall send forth His angels, and they shall gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;”
Matthew 13:42 “And shall cast them into a furnace of fire; there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.”
Matthew 13:43 “Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.”
seed (Strong’s 4690) something sown, i.e. seed (including the male “sperm”); offspring; specific a remnant (figurative as if kept over for planting); (from Strong’s 4687) to scatter, or sow.
tares (Strong’s 2215) darnel or false grain; tares; bastard wheat or the grains are black

The wheat are the good seed or the children of God. Seed means children. So in Genesis 3:15 the woman’s Seed, the Son of God, Jesus, did come through Eve’s and Adam’s family. The wheat used as an analogy. Then the tares, which is a darnel or false grain which grows up looking exactly the same as wheat, but is very bitter and poison and has to be plucked out separately. The enemy, who is the devil, planted those children, or seed. Jesus Christ, Himself, is teaching us this right here. Then Jesus says just know who the tares, or the sons of Cain are, but leave them alone. As God at the end of the Lord’s Day will sort out who is who as only He is Judge. Let’s take one short trip here to see exactly what He is talking about here:

Genesis 3:14 “And the LORD God said unto the serpent, “Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:”
Genesis 3:15 “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her Seed; It shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise His heel.”
seed (Strong’s 2233) seed, figuratively fruit, plant, sowing-time, posterity, child, (from Strong’s 2232) to sow, to disseminate, plant, fructify, bear, conceive seed, set with, sow or yield.

There is that enmity, or war, going on to this day. The seed, or children, of the devil’s as the serpent is who the LORD God is talking to. Then the first part happened when they bruised Jesus’ heel by crucifying Him, through his seed, the sons of Cain, or the Kenites. They are the ones Jesus is saying HE approved of this church, Philadelphia, which taught who they were. Now let’s go on:

Hebrews 13:2 “Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.”
entertain (Strong’s 5381) hospitableness; entertain strangers, hospitality; (from Strong’s 5382) fond of guests, i.e. hospitable; given to (lover of, use), hospitality; (from Strong’s 5384) dear, i.e. a friend, fond, i.e. friendly associate, neighbor, friend; and (from Strong’s 4413) foremost, before.

Be open and loving especially to fellow believers. Sometimes we don’t know who God will send his angels to you. Let’s go here to Genesis and see WHO came to visit Abraham and Sarah here:

Genesis 18:1 “And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;”
Genesis 18:2 “And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground,”
Genesis 18:3 “And said, “My LORD, if now I have found favour in Thy sight pass not away, I pray Thee, from Thy servant:”
Genesis 18:4 “Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and was your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree:”
Genesis 18:5 “And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts; after that ye shall pass on: for therefore are ye come to your servant.” And they said, “So do, as thou hast said.”
Genesis 18:6 “And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said, “Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes upon the hearth.”
Genesis 18:7 “And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetch a calf tender and good, and gave it unto a young man; and he hasted to dress it.”
Genesis 18:8 “And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat.”
Genesis 18:9 “And they said unto him, “Where is Sarah thy wife?” And he said, “Behold, in the tent.”
Genesis 18:10 “And he said, “I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son.” And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.”
Genesis 18:11 “Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.”
Genesis 18:12 “Therefore Sarah laughed within himself, saying, “After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?”
Genesis 18:13 “And the LORD said unto Abraham, “Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, ‘Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?’”
Genesis 18:14 “Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.”
Genesis 18:15 “Then Sarah denied, saying, “I laughed not;” for she was afraid. And He said, “Nay; but thou didst laugh.”

Abraham knew immediately who these three were and he bowed to them. The Angel of the LORD and his two angels, the two that the LORD sends them to Sodom and Gomorrah in Genesis 19. Almighty GOD right there with at Abraham’s home, so we need to be open to who God sends into our lives. Abraham gives them the very best quality food he has and blesses HIM and his two angels. The LORD always with purpose in His actions as HE came to tell Abraham and Sarah that even though they were very old, Abraham almost one hundred and Sarah ninety, to have children, that they would have a son. The LORD will provide, so be open to how HE works in your life for you never know who HE will send to you. Then through Abraham and Sarah’s son, Isaac, did come Our Lord Jesus Christ, the One that anyone, not just the people of the nation of Israel, but any person that believes His Word of God and loves Him, they, too, can have eternal life. Why? Because God loves His people, as HE did not send Jesus to condemn this world:

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 3:17 “For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.”

God loves His people and wants us to make it. That’s why it’s so important to listen to what His Word says. Not to me, nor any person, religion, church, or religious leader without first checking out what they bring to you in the Word of God. Then also the other thing we need to be aware of is that also when Satan comes as here:

Revelation 12:7 “And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,”
Revelation 12:8 “And prevailed not, neither was their place found any more in heaven.”
Revelation 12:9 “And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world, and his angels were cast out with him.”

Satan will be kicked down to this earth in our very near future as in II Thessalonians 2:3-4 when he comes as son of perdition, sitting in God’s throne and says that he is God in Jerusalem. We see some of Satan’s names and roles, like the old serpent we read about in Genesis 3:15 and the dragon. Just names or roles, as the Lord has many names like Son of Man and Emmanuel and Jesus. The point is that these fallen angels will be coming to this earth while we are in the flesh. They are not born of women, but are angelic. That’s why here we are warned:

I Corinthians 11:7 “For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman to be shorn or shaven, let here be covered.”
I Corinthians 11:8 “For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man.”
I Corinthians 11:9 “Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.”
I Corinthians 11:10 “For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.”
power (Strong’s 1849) privilege, i.e. force, capacity, competency, freedom, mastery, magistrate, superhuman, potentate, token of control, delegated influence, authority, jurisdiction, liberty, power, right, strength; (from Strong’s 1832) it is right (through idea of being out in public); be lawful, let, may.

The Lord Jesus is the Bridegroom, the man then over the woman. The woman should have the power of Jesus Christ. Meaning His Word, knowing that Satan and his fallen angels will come first, then the Lord Jesus as in II Thessalonians 2:3-4, and when Jesus comes at the last trumpet, of I Corinthians 15:52 as well as in Revelation 11:15. The word power means superhuman, or it is right as the Lord is right and good. The point is these fallen angels are coming down with Satan, and they are supernatural, or more than natural. Let’s go here real quick to Matthew 24 the subject is return of Jesus and the end of this world:

Matthew 24:1 “And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and His disciples came to Him for to shew Him the buildings of the temple.”
Matthew 24:2 “And Jesus said unto them, “See ye not all these things? Verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.”
Matthew 24:3 “And as He sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when shall these things be and what shall be the sign of Thy coming and of the end of the world?”
Matthew 24:4 “And Jesus answered and said unto them, “Take heed that no man deceive you.”
Matthew 24:5 “For many shall come in My name, saying, ‘I am Christ;’ and shall deceive many.”
Matthew 24:35 “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away.”
Matthew 24:36 “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but My Father only.”
Matthew 24:37 “But as the days of Noe were so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”
Matthew 24:38 “For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,”
Matthew 24:39 “And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be,”
world (Strong’s 165) properly an age; by extension perpetuity (also past); by implication the world; specifically (Jewish) A Messianic period (present or future).

Again the subject here in Matthew 24, as well as in Mark 13 and Luke 21 is the end of this world, the age only. When the Lord comes as in I Corinthians 15:52 all flesh, so any person living at that time will not die a physical death, but will be changed instantly to an angelic, or a celestial body as we have both a flesh and angelic body as in I Corinthians 15:40. Not one stone will be left standing at the temple for that is where Satan will have set up his kingdom on this earth with this entire world worshipping him at Jerusalem at the throne of God as in II Thessalonians 2:3-4. The first thing Jesus warns is to be aware of people, especially those that come in His name, or the “Christians”. They are who to watch out for, and know God’s Word so that way you can know how to go back to the Word of God and see if what they say is truth. The location again is the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem as that is where when Revelation 12:7-9 happens Satan will have his throne in God’s throne’s location. The heaven and the earth, the flesh age ends, then the next age, the Lord’s Day, which one day is as one thousand with the Lord as in II Peter 3:8 begins when Jesus stands at the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem forever. That’s it, not that the earth is destroyed, but rather it is healed, brought back to it’s condition before the foundation of this earth age as in II Peter 3:9-10. We don’t know the day or the hour, but we know the period when Israel became a nation in 1948. That marked this final generation when both the good figs, the people of Israel, as well as the bad figs, the synagogue of Satan we just read in Revelation 3:9, the Kenites, or sons of Cain. As in Jeremiah 24 they returned to the land of Judea creating that nation. We then need to look for all these events, these signs that Jesus is telling us ahead of time here in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21, to know what they are so we can look for them. Then, why we came here, just like in Noe, or Noah in Hebrew, in his time, the reason that the LORD God had the flood. Instead of being born in the flesh as each soul is supposed to when they come from heaven to this earth, instead they went after Adam’s daughters trying to destroy that woman’s Seed, or Son, Jesus, Who did come as in Genesis 3:15. Before that remember we touched upon Enoch that God translated, or took him, as in Genesis 5:24 for teaching against these fallen angels that were doing this to them. The reason Satan was sending them to try and destroy that Seed, Jesus, of Genesis 3:15 as he knew that He would come from Adam and Eve’s family line. These angels sent so they would destroy that family, and also bringing with them information from the first earth age, previous knowledge, that the LORD did not want us to have as that was not His plan. He wants to know who will love Him and His Word, and worship Him, not Satan, as the one third here in the first earth age did when they worshipped Satan:

Revelation 1:20 “The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in My right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks.  The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.”
Revelation 12:4 “And his tail drew the third part of stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth:  and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.”
Revelation 12:5 “And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron:  and her child was caught up into God, and to His throne.”

The word angels is symbolic of the word stars here in Revelation 12:4. That one third of God’s people, so remember as in I Corinthians 15:40 when in heaven we have angelic or spiritual bodies, they worshipped Satan, who we just read is the dragon as in Revelation 12:9. Then right at the beginning of this earth age Satan then went after Eve, trying to pollute her children to not bring Jesus for guess what? If The Word of God happens as stated in Revelation 20:10 as well as in Ezekiel 28:18-19 Satan will perish, as he is the son of perdition of II Thessalonians 2:3-4, the only son in God’s Word sentenced to perish, meaning to be blotted out of total existence. Then Jesus did come through Eve and Adam, as we just learned then through Abraham’s seed, or his family, written in Luke Chapter 3, Mary’s father’s geneology. Jesus as in Hebrews 2:14 did overcome death, that is the devil, and the Word happened exactly as HE foretold. We cannot count on people or what religion or churches say, but we can always count on the Lord! Then when Jesus comes back at the second advent which is our very near future, HE will rule this earth with total discipline and during that one thousand year period, discipline will be taught as in Revelation 20 and Ezekiel 44 by those servants God will use, His election, or the Zadok. Let’s go here to Genesis to see where this happened and these fallen angels came here to this earth the first time to learn from this. As we are to learn from what happened in the Word of God before to see what will happen again, there is nothing new:

I Corinthians 10:11 “Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.”
I Corinthians 10:12 “Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.”
I Corinthians 10:13 “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, Who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”
I Corinthians 10:14 “Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.”
ensamples (Strong’s 5179) a die (as struck), i.e. a stamp, or scar; a shape, a statue, style or resemblance; a sample (“type”), i.e. a model (for imitation)) or instance (for warning); example, fashion, figure, form, manner, pattern, print; (from Strong’s 5180) to “thump”, i.e. cudgel or pummel (with a stick or bastinado, or a beating given on the soles of the feet), but in any case by repeated blows; not a single blow with the hand or any instrument; by implication to punish; to offend (the conscience); beat, smite, strike, wound.

All the events in the Word of God they happened for our warning, or admonition, and are examples to us today as we are right at that time, the end of this world age. There is nothing, or no temptation, in this flesh, that we cannot handle. God will deliver you, but remember you have to ask Him. Acknowledge Him, and ask for His help, and He will! His timing is perfect so be patient. Then the most important thing is stay away from idolatry, or religion, church tradition. Any teaching that comes to you that is not founded in The Word of God or you will fall easily into Satan’s trap of deception when he comes before Jesus as in II Thessalonians 2:3-4. Then let’s go here:
