The Day America Died
We ask if we had lost our pride
We ask if we wanted to go hide
We ask if we wanted to give up hope
We ask if old glory would still float
We ask if this still was home to the brave,
We ask if our old flag would still wave
We ask if our country passed the buck,
We ask if our country had run amuck
We ask if our freedom would remain,
We ask if our free liberty would retain
We ask if the wrongs could now be set
We ask if we were doomed as of yet
We ask if believers would knell to pray
We ask God to have His perfect way
We ask if our sovereignty would be fair
We ask if God was somewhere out there
We ask if all Americans would come unite
We ask if all Americans would join the fight
The Day America Died.
"R.I.P", America, July 4, 1776- ____________. You fill in the date. I trust and pray, this brief make-believe epilog, sets all "Red Blooded Americans" to think. Yes, our grand old country is still worth saving. And, "In God" we still trust. So, don't give up.( John 8:32)
GOD BLESS AMERICA, LAND THAT WE LOVE
