Where were you God when we were in trouble? why did Your helping hand not reach to us? these and many other similar questions we often do ask to God.
We pray, we cry and mourn for our pathetic condition, however God has something wonderful to tell us, not that He is coming to save us, but rather the fact that we have driven Him away from us.
This is what the Lord told to Joshua when he went crying before God for their defeat at Ai.
"Therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because they have become doomed to destruction. Neither will I be with you anymore, unless you destroy the accursed from among you." Joshua 7:12 (NKJV)
God is our greatest help, however if we chose to remove Him from our life by choosing sin, we have no right to ask for His providence and redemption in troubled times.
God wants to help, but He cannot do so unless we open the door for Him.
"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me". Revelation 3:20 (NKJV)
The door is locked, the dark sin is within, if we open the door, the light ill come in and the darkness will be gone, there will be a blessed fellowship with God and blessedness forever.
However for the above to happen the desire for darkness should go, the desire for the light should come, the door should be opened for the Lord and then we could be blessed.
Super Light (God) and super darkness(devil) cannot coexist in our life, we need one's dominion & reign.
Its our choice to choose to be 'doomed to destruction' or be 'bloomed to blessedness'
