With cults like Mormons and Jehovah Witness denying the deity of Christ they might do well reading the following bible verses. Of course the Jehovah Witnesses have changed their bible because of all the mistakes they found. Therefore, they would need to read a valid bible. The verses involved are Mark 1:21-27.
And they went into Capernaum; and straightway on the sabbath day he entered into the synagogue, and taught. And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes. And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out, Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God. And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the unclean spirit had torn him, and cried with a loud voice, he came out of him. And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him.
I believe this is the most revealing verse in the bible. The first thing we notice how Jesus taught with authority and not like the scribes.
Next we notice there was a man with an unclean spirit. This normally wasn't able to be dealt with by a mere human. This unclean spirit identifies who Jesus is immediately. He is the Holy One of God. Here we see Jesus wasn't created by God the Father but existed with him before time began. Also notice the unclean spirit says there is only one Holy One of God.
Jesus quieted the evil spirit because he didn't want it revealed that he was the Son of God until after the Resurrection. We also remember Jesus telling Peter not to reveal He was the Son of God.
Very importantly the unclean spirit asks Jesus if he has come to destroy to destroy the unclean spirits. The unclean spirit knows that they will eventually be destroyed by Jesus. Satan will deceive many in the last days that he will conquer the Creator.
