A birthday is a chosen day
Set apart by God for every person
The day He called us by name
And sent us into this world.
A birthday is a solemn day
To celebrate a marked time
The day the angels in heaven
Gently placed us in our parent’s arms.
A birthday is a praise worthy day
To give thanks to the Almighty
For the breath of His own into our being
Right from the moment of our conception.
A birthday is a memorable day
To recall our own mission on earth
A pledge to complete the work
That our Creator has planned for us.
A birthday is a special day
To return back to the Lord
The achievements He helped us to fulfill
Without His help, nothing is accomplished ever.
A birthday is a beautiful day
To enjoy the love of special people
Whom God has placed in the journey of life
Their wishes which brighten our day
A reflection of His own individual love.
A birthday is an extra-ordinary day
A day that rises above ordinary ones
A day that has our name written on it.
It is the day of all days
Our very own gifted to us by God.
