He was dead, He was gone, all hopes were shattered, everything was over, yet when He came, He performed a mighty miracle.
"And when He came near the gate of the city, behold, a dead man was being carried out, the only son of his mother; and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the city was with her. When the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, “Do not weep.” Then He came and touched the open coffin, and those who carried him stood still. And He said, “Young man, I say to you, arise.” So he who was dead sat up and began to speak. And He presented him to his mother." Luke 7:12-15 (NKJV)
To what extent can we trust God to do great and mighty works for us?
Often our approach to God is at the last moment, when we have tried all we can and when nothing works out, we tend to put on the cloak of faith and very piously knock the doors of heaven, however the best part is that even when we treat God in such manner (making Him the last doctor to consult), He does respond to our prayers, He does saves us.
However can we come to God even when late? even when all hope is lost? even when our set time of redemption is far gone?
There is no limit to the power of God, for the Bible says...
'.....God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did; " Romans 4:17 (NKJV)
Our God is awesome and His works are beyond our imagination.
I want to encourage you never to give up your hope on God, for to all who approach Him in earnest prayer, God always has the best to offer.
God is a loving Father, and to all those who come to a Father, He has the best comfort to offer, it could be a new life, a new way or any other new blessedness.
"Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed,
Because His compassions fail not.
They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness." Lamentations 3:22-23 (NKJV).
