We must make effort for to rest,
And able to do our best,
In everything that we seek,
For throughout the rest of the week.
Then no one will ever be lost,
Because it would be at no cost;
As those who refuse to obey,
By working on the Sabbath day.
The Word is active and living,
As well as God is forgiving;
But it is like a two-edge sword,
That you must heed when it is heard.
For it cuts deep into the bone,
Through marrow where tendons are sewn;
The place where soul meets the spirit,
Through all that you will inherit.
The Word judges every thought,
And each intention ever sought;
No creature is able to hide,
From the Word that was crucified.
Our faith is a declaration,
Of the soul for restoration;
Masterminded by the chief priest,
And preparing for us a feast.
Who I talk of is Jesus Christ,
Not once was He ever enticed;
And gives us grace in time of need,
No desire of envy or greed.
