What is love? Its stoic pain!
Enduring man at no self gain.
And what is man? He’s way-wards way!
His warring murders everyday.
Yet, love keeps no record of wrong.
Its kindness is its ballad song.
Its patience is its actions choice.
Forgiveness rings out from its voice.
And what is love? Its perfect will!
It never takes more than its fill.
And what is man but selfish need.
The more he gets, the more’s his greed.
A sounding brass, a clanging bell.
Man would take love down to hell.
But love makes glad in truthful tales.
Where man, he falls, love never fails.
And what is love? Volition’s act!
It never wanders from its track.
But mans directions one of fear
The track he treads is full with tears
And what is love? A gift divine.
That transcends life and transcends time.
Not even death can mute loves wealth
To love thy neighbour as thyself
