Joint Heirs (Luke 15:31)

Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours. (NKJV)

Precious friends, I believe that our Abba God is speaking to His kids today, through these simple verses of Scripture. He is calling us into a deeper revelation of the fullness of our inheritance in Jesus and into an experience of all the abundance already deposited in our names through the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.

When the prodigal son returned home (Luke 15:11-32) to his fathers house, his older brother was annoyed that their father was celebrating the return of the younger boy. Their father pleaded with him to come in and be a part of the party, saying to him (But) Son you are always with me, and all that I have is yours. He said It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found. The father wanted him to know that he had no reason to be resentful. He could enjoy a party at his fathers expense any time. All the resources of his father were his to have, as much as he wished. He had been diligent and faithful, working hard in his fathers house, doing his duty day after day. He thought he was earning a place in his fathers heart and his fathers inheritance, but it all belonged to him anyway it had already been given to him by his father because he was a son! There is nothing we could ever do to earn the amazing grace of our awesome God. All the salvation, healing, deliverance, and overflowing love, joy and peace of our Abba have already been paid for by the precious blood of the holy Lamb of God. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. (Ephesians 1:3).

Our Father reminds us today that we are co-heirs with Jesus Christ. In Romans 8:15-17, we read: For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out Abba, Father. The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him that we may also be glorified together. We are fully adopted, and God is our Father, and our legal guardian - Hallelujah! Everything that belongs to Jesus also belongs to us we are co-heirs with Him! This applies not only to all the blessings of heaven, but also the very special and perfect relationship Jesus enjoys with the Father and the Spirit, which is for us too. It is our Fathers good pleasure to give us the Kingdom (Luke 12:42). Everything He has is for you and me!

Whatever the need in your life today, know that it is fully met through the power of the blood sacrifice of Jesus. Your healing is a done deal. Your provision, freedom, restored relationships or financial blessing are already yes and amen through the precious blood of Jesus. We do not have to beg and plead for what is ours already. The Father Himself tells us today You are Mine and I am yours, and everything I have is for you. Hallelujah! This includes the deeper revelations and the things of the Spirit, heavenly experiences and angelic encounters. The realms of glory are for you and me, as well as every manifestation of the Kingdom signs, wonders and miracles. Our Father loves and longs to bring us into all the fullness of what His Kingdom means. The older brother looked at what the other boy was receiving and resented him, when the blessing had always been his to have. Everything the Father has is for us and He wants us to look to Him (and not at the lives of others) because it is His delight to give us everything Jesus died to make possible for us. The Father loves all His kids alike. Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! (1 John 3:1).

Friend, please believe and press in today for whatever you are seeking from the Father. He wants to fill your life with His grace and goodness. As a fully adopted child of God and a joint heir/heiress with His Son Jesus, remember that you are in line to receive exceedingly abundantly more than anything you could ever ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20)! Eye has not see, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him. (1 Corinthians 2:9). It is the Fathers will to heal and set you free. It is His desire to bless you beyond measure and see you glowing with His goodness and filled with His love. He wants to see you fruitful in your life and ministry, and living in His abundance. You are His very precious, much loved, blood bought, chosen child!

May the love of Abba fill your heart. He is always with you, and everything He has is for you! I pray the Spirit of sonship or daughterhood to be your portion as you step into the absolute security, love and acceptance that comes from the Fathers heart to you. May you walk in all the fullness of His abundant blessing because you are a joint heir with Jesus. Be blessed today and always, in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen!
