Have you ever had one of those days where nothing seems to go right? No doubt, like the rest of us, you have. Like our friend Job, you may even feel that the whole world is against you. He said...my family have failed me and my friends forgotten me. Even the young children despise me and talk against me. My intimate friends abhor me and those I love have turned against me. My neighbors think I am a stranger while my own family loathes me and my breath even offends my own wife.
It’s difficult not to feel entirely alone when you’re having one of those days. But be comforted by Romans 8:31 that says...If God is for us, who can be against us? And when everyone seems to be against you, there’s God - that strong foundation that never leaves you or forsakes you. When you’re burdened, He will give you rest for your soul that is suffering the sadness that only God can understand because He suffered every affliction known to man when He died on the cross for you.
There is no one who knows what you’re feeling at this very moment like the Lord Jesus does. And because He conquered death, you can conquer life, with the knowledge that this trial too shall pass. Today is a new day in the Lord and if you’re looking for an attitude adjustment, He paid for that as well. For even Job went on to say, I know that my Redeemer lives...
