What happened to the Edomites? Please read my July 23rd article. Of course we already know Herod the Great and Herod Antipas were Edomites who became kings of Judea. We can first look at this verse in Revelation 2:9 which states, "“I know your afflictions and your poverty-yet you are rich! I know the slander of those who say they are Jews and are not but are a synagogue of Satan.” Clearly it says there are those portraying themselves as Jews are members of the synagogue of Satan.
The bible gives compelling evidence as to who these Jewish imitators are. As you know the Jews are the chosen people of God. Certainly these imitators want you to think they are Jews and thus are God's chosen ones. We know that the Jews are the chosen ones and are from the House of Abraham. We assume that "all' the descendants of Abraham and Sara are the chosen ones. This of course doesn't include the descendants of Abraham and Haggar who are called the Arabs. There is no confusion there.
Abraham had twin sons named Esau and Jacob. Descendants from Esau are not God's chosen people. Only the descendants of Jacob, later to be named Israel, are the chosen ones of God. God hated Esau and loved Jacob.
While Jesus was discussing with the crowd in Jerusalem he stated that the truth would make you free. Some of those in the crowd said, "We are descendants of Abraham, and have never been in bondage to anyone". Those in the crowd misunderstood the freedom Jesus was taking about. Yet, their statement shows they were from the house of Abraham but never were in physical bondage. Of course the Israelites were in bondage in Egypt. Through a simple process of elimination shows these people in the crowd were Edomites. Again refer to the July 23 article.
Do you remember when Helen Thomas, former dean of the White House Press Corps, reportedly told Playboy in an interview for their April issue that Jews have power over the White House and Congress, who are in the pockets of the Israeli lobbies? She also said Israeli lobbies are funded by wealthy Zionist (posing as Jews) supporters including those from Hollywood and the same thing with financial markets. Without knowing it she was referring to those "evil jews" in the synagogue of Satan. Helen hit the jackpot with that statement.
Jesus addresses the crowd, "I came from God, and now am here. I have not come on my own, but he sent me. Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desire." Here is the proof that the Edomites are the jews who aren't Jews in the synagogue of Satan. Jesus continues, "He (the devil) was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. Yet because I tell the truth you do not believe me." (John 8:42-45) You can see why the Edomites are eternally condemned. It is because of the devil who portrays the truth as a lie, and the lie as the truth. The Edomites will never understand the truth of the gospel. Also remember that God had eternally condemned the seed of the Edomites. Thus, says the Lord: "For three transgressions of Edom, and for four, I will not revoke the punishment; because he pursued his brother with the sword, and cast off all pity, and his anger tore perpetually, and so he kept his wrath forever.” (Amos 1:11)
What about now in Israel? Is there any evidence to the Edomites? We now are in New Testament times, aren't we?
Sharon Looks to Sell Israel's Birthright
Nov. 29….(JNEWSWIRE/Ryan Jones) Emulating the blunder of their patriarch's elder brother Esau, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's new Kadima Party Monday said Israel has no choice but to sell its birthright for the “bowl of pottage” it believes will ease the nation's current ills.“The people of Israel have a national and historical right to all of Israel." Remember the bowl of pottage was eaten by Esau trading it to Jacob for his birthright.
It was the progeny of these same Edomite "jews" who, by way of interbreeding, became part of the Khazar kingdom, and who, between the seventh and ninth centuries AD, adopted the religion of Judaism. According to the previously cited Jewish encyclopedias, it was these Khazar Jews who were the progenitors (direct ancestors) of the vast majority of today's Jewish people, including today's Zionist Jews who spuriously claim right to the land of Israel. Consequently, the majority of today's Jewish people are known as "Jews" not because they are descended from Jacob/Israel but rather because their Edomite/Khazar progenitors (a direct ancestor) adopted the religion of Judaism. The authors of The Jewish Almanac (1980) obviously recognized that today's Jews are rarely genetic Israelites.
Should we as Christians support Israel. This is a question I certainly can't answer. Even though the return of the Jews to Israel is a prophetic sign I can't find where it is a good thing. It is puzzling. It isn't easy to decide. It's is certainly good to know the facts. This is certainly beyond me.
