There are such things as mental ruts into which we effortlessly fall or should I say are pulled by our mental histories. Well-worn pathways of pathological thought of which we aren't even aware anymore but which nonetheless shuttle us along to predictable predetermined outcomes. We fall with a thud or a thump sometimes like a vehicle being jerked into a channel hidden under the camoflauge of grass or weed or water.. We are often jerked around by our own thought processes. But there is a way to plough up this ground, to forge new healthier, truer mental pathways......to be more like the masters of our minds than their hapless slaves.
