Romantic sentiments are like cotton candy.
They taste very good but disappear as the experience has passed.
Romantic sentiments are like a beautiful flower that shoots up at once upon the rock,
But having no depth in soil, it is scorched by the heat and is gone so quick you wonder what it looked like.
Romantic sentiments must be saved and preserved in pictures, in scrapbooks,
They must be looked upon time and time again so as to recapture the essence which cannot be sustained.
What some seek in flowers and words,
I seek in loyalty and faithfulness.
Perseverance and patience over glitz and glamour,
Steadfastness and unwavering over poems and dreams.
Give me a rock and not a flower,
For the rock will endure while the flower is no more !
