Although the earth will be subjected to great cataclysms in the final days of the present age, before “the kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ” (Revelation 11:15), it will only be as the burning and levelling of an ancient and idolatrous city in preparation for the building of another that is infinitely better. And just as it was the Divine Intelligence that spared the eight souls that survived the Deluge of Noah’s day (Genesis 7:13,23), who entered into and repopulated the new world that followed, so also would it be at this coming time. Only as many mortal folks as the Almighty would ordain will survive the coming Apocalypse, to cross over into and repopulate the New Age of the Millennial Kingdom of Christ and His saints.
