THE DARK SIDE OF EVIL

This nation is still reeling over the recent, horrendous tragedy at an Aurora theater in Denver, Colorado. The vicious attack left 12 dead and 46 injured, some critically. All the survivors will have mental scares they will carry the rest of their lives.
Professionals are still trying to rationalize the motive behind the attacks. The 24 year old college student, James Holmes, had no criminal background but recent investigations revealed an abnormal obsession with the character out of a "Batman" comic book. Movies, games and comics all contributed to this obsession.
Society is constantly exposed to violence through these mediums. Experts should be able to conclude that hours upon hours of exposure to violence will produce violent behavior as vulnerable people act out their idols through role-play.
Those gaining the most are the Hollywood producers, writers and filmmakers who live in their million dollar homes, drive their expensive cars and fly their private jets. They have no moral convictions as to how violence affects their viewers but they salivate at the prospect of making millions of dollars from ticket sales.
There is a dark side to Evil and he's a personage called Lucifer or Satan (II Cor 4:4, I Peter 5:8-9). Yes, he does exist and is very busy directing his hordes of followers (demons) to do his heinous deeds. Eph. 6:10-12. He's well aware his time is short as the age of grace comes to an end. Those that are open to this dark spirit world have access to his domain. Many professionals deny Satan’s existence, which empowers him even more. They scratch their perplexed heads with no explanation as to motive behind these attacks from purportedly 'normal' individuals.
America WAKE UP! Parents WAKE UP! Protect your children from these influences that can program their consience and affect their behavior by not supporting them with your dollars. Be a moral role model to your children and don't let Hollywood idols fill that void. Holmes crossed the line between fantasy and reality by emulating a ficticious character out of a comic book. Are we going to see more and more Aurora and Columbine killing sprees because we are failing to give our children a firm, moral foundation to stand on? God help us to be the mentors our country needs right now before we implode through violence. Let's not let Satan have the victory. By giving our hearts and minds to God we have everything we need to live out the good life...Love (I John 4:16,17) Forgiveness (Titus 3:4-7) Wisdom (I John 2:27, James 3:17-1:5) Strength (Phill 4:13, II Thess 3:3) and Eternal Life(John 3:16). Stop the violence in America and let it begin with the changed hearts of its people.
