Years ago I took a course titled, Successful Group Dynamics and during the course I made notes which were mostly biblical cites. The principles taught involved a few manipulative maneuvers, and more than a few great ideas. Will you read and think a bit about any biblical truth you may see in the following statement from Henry Ford:
"Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success."
Mr. Ford understood the dynamic undergirding the success of any endeavor. He also was able to reduce the mountain of principles involved in building an organization to a brief but all-encompassing statement.
The condensed wisdom of Mr. Ford works for family building, small business, multinational corporations and even government. When just one leg of the statement is missing in any group effort, if the group does not completely fail, they know that total failure is always right around the corner or already staring them in the face.
At this point you may be thinking, “Hey, I thought this was a faith letter. What gives?” May I say the threefold principles laid out by Henry Ford literally leap off the pages of scripture from Genesis to Revelation. An old line often used by preachers has it like this, "Win them, wet them work them."
This little rag is based on Matthew 28:19-20 commonly termed The Great Commission clearly given by Jesus and this is what Christian groups are to do.
