Sunday 7/22/12 Pastor Michael’s sermon = Kingdom Exchange: The Secrets to Kingdom Success Matt 11:25-30
==============================================================================================================
The Floating or Peg systems are used in the worldly money exchange system. When one travels to other countries, one has to exchange money for the other country’s money. Jesus, in these scriptures, is saying that we are to exchange our earthly ways of doing things to the Kingdom’s ways. We are struggling because we are using the old worldly currency when trying to get the Kingdom’s blessings.
To Exchange to Kingdom Success:
1) Let It Go: Give up worry, let it go and rest. Verse 28. Recognize the King and his authority in the Kingdom. Take our issues to the King because he has authority. Don’t worry. Jesus said to give it to him. Give him our burdens and He will give us hope, faith and praise. Exchange our worry for Praise.
2) Have Reliance on God: Ask God to take us thru our issues and to our next level. Don’t serve God with your intellect but with your heart! Verse 25 Jesus said He was not revealing it to folk who think they know it all but was revealing it to babes. Babies and infants can only rely on parents to take care of them. We are to be like babies and rely on God! Our head may say one thing=no money in bank, but our heart says God will take care of us. We have never seen the righteous forsaken or his seed begging bread!!!!!
Have Faith! Heart Faith! We know God is Able! How he is going to do it, we don’t know! When he will do it, we don’t know! We just know that God is ABLE!!!!
3) Let God: Let God do it. Verse 29 Tell his yoke upon us, learn of Him and find rest. Jesus means for us to get yoked to him and He will take care of things. He will get us thru this and get us thru that! Watch Jesus, learn Jesus, get yoked up to Jesus! He says go left, we go left. He says go right, we go right. He says go forward, we go forward. We do this because we are yoked to Jesus. We are exchanging OUR will for God’s will. We don’t make a move until Jesus says to. When God says move then we move! We want what God wants for us. When God moves, since we are yoked to him, we move. He says take his yoke upon us and learn of him.
Some of us talk Kingdom talk but don’t live Kingdom lives! Basis 101 Kingdom rules: don’t shack up, pay your tithes and don’t fornicate! When you are yoked up with God, you begin to think like him and act like him. When you are Kingdom, you exchange your ways for God’s ways. There are some relationships with certain friends we have to drop because they are not trying to get to the Kingdom.
4) We Look Good: verse 30. For my yoke is easy and my burden light. We start walking around like we don’t have a care in the world. Although we been thru the fire, there is no ash or smoke on us. God will make us look good because the weight we been carrying around is given to God. We look Good !!!!
