Hebrews Part 6

2 of 3

II Thessalonians 2:1 “Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto Him.”
II Thessalonians 2:2 “That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter, as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.”
II Thessalonians 2:3 “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition,”
II Thessalonians 2:4 “Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the Temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.”
II Thessalonians 2:11 “And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:”
II Thessalonians 2:12 “That they all might be damned who believed, not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”
falling away (Strong’s 646) defection from truth (properly the state (“apostacy” or revolt against one’s religion); falling away, forsake; (same as feminine Strong’s 647) something separative, i.e. divorce, (writing of) divorcement; (from derivative of Strong’s 868) to remove, i.e. instigate to revolt; to desist, desert; fall away, depart; (from Strong’s 575) “off”, i.e. away , and from Strong’s 2476) to stand.
perdition (Strong’s 684) ruin or loss (physically, spiritual or eternal); damnable, destruction, die, perdition, waste; (a presumed derivative of (Strong’s 622) to destroy fully (reflexive to perish, or lose), literally or figuratively destroy, die, lose, mar, perish.

We are not to let any words by any person, no church, no religion, even that first letter, or I Thessalonians Chapter 4, which so many churches today try and make a “rapture” teaching out of it! That’s why right then at the time I Thessalonians was written, the first letter to the Thessalonians, God wrote through Paul this second letter, or II Thessalonians so we would not be deceived. The Good Lord wanted to make sure that His election, the ones that this message is addressed to did not fail in the flesh. That day, there is no other possibility so let’s get this straight, until two things happen first. The first thing is the falling away, which means to deft from the truth, or revolt against one’s religion. Meaning if you are a Christian you then would worship the Lord’s enemy, or do the opposite of your faith, Satan. The second thing, is that the son of perdition, meaning the son sentenced to perish, or be totally blotted out as in Revelation 20:10 and in Ezekiel 28:18-19. The only son named in God’s Word the devil, who is Satan as in Revelation 12:9 and Revelation 20:2, as the devil is Satan in both verses. Then Satan will sit in God’s throne claiming to be God so as we just read in Daniel 11, by bringing so called “world peace”, telling you that he will “fly you away”, or “rapture you”, and that you just have to believe him, and God’s Word is not needed to know with understanding as you’ll fly out of here! He will be able to give you anything in the flesh you want like money, pay off your debts, anything but give you eternal life! That only Almighty LORD God Jehovah can offer you! Then if you want to listen to any lie, like some church doctrine, or teaching, or some religion, go ahead, because God, Himself, will send you strong delusion, if you knowingly worshipped Satan, you then would be held accountable for that, and that would be awful! Then let’s also go here, back to the though of Hebrews 6:6:

Colossians 1:26 “Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:”
Colossians 1:27 ”To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:”
Colossians 1:28 “Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:”
Colossians 1:29 “Whereunto I also labour, striving according to His working, which worketh in me mightily.”
mystery (Strong’s 3466) a secret or “mystery” (to shut the mouth) (through the idea of silence imposed by initiation into religious rites).

The saints, meaning not some “holy” people, but those people that God can rely on to warn His people about the fact Satan comes first and then Jesus and teach His Word, not men’s religion or church doctrines, has been hid throughout the generations. Remember we read “.. the last shall be first” in Matthew 20:16, meaning this last generation of the fig tree of Mark 13:28, which began May 1948 when Israel became a nation marking this period, those overcomers then will be first fruits, meaning they will overcome in the flesh, not worship Satan, and will then not have mortal, or liable to perish, souls as they are already judged, as in:

Ephesians 1:4 “According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love:”
Ephesians 1:5 “Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,”
foundation (Strong’s 2602) a deposition i.e. founding; figuratively conception, conceive, foundation; (from Strong’s 2598) to thrown down, lay down.
predestinated (Strong’s 4309) to limit in advance, predetermine, (from Strong’s 4253) fore, in front of, prior, and (from Strong’s 3724) to mark out or bound (horizon), i.e. to appoint, decree, specify, declare, determine, limit or ordain.
prudence (Strong’s 5428) mental action or activity, i.e. intellectual or moral insight.

At the foundation, meaning the beginning of this world age, God knew who HE could trust and who HE could not based on previous actions before we came here in the flesh. So if you have eyes to see His Word and ears to hear His Word with understanding, keep it up as you are so very blessed. That is wonderful, and stick with His Word, I mean, daily, as God can use you to help others, keeping up your strength to the end when Satan comes while we are in the flesh still. God then HE our Judge, not man, religion, or some church system, HE decided which of His children He could predetermine before we all came here born innocent in our mother’s wombs of what happened before. Then choosing between God and Satan. IF your eyes are opened, you are doing great, for only God knows who you are. I and no other person can, but by our actions, or by our fruit, so know His Word so that anyone, whether person, or organization like a religion or church, can deceive you. How could God know the mind or future actions of Jeremiah, a faithful servant of His as here:

Jeremiah 1:4 “Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,”
Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.”
Jeremiah 1:6 “Then said I, “Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.”
Jeremiah 1:7 “But the LORD said unto me, “Say not, ‘I am a child:’ for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.”
Jeremiah 1:8 “Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD.”

This same Jeremiah, the prophet, or Word of God teacher, God used and we have an entire Book in God’s Word for our forewarning of what will happen at the end as we are to use The Word for the examples to teach us about what will happen at the end of this earth age:

I Corinthians 10:11 “Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.”
I Corinthians 10:12 “Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.”
I Corinthians 10:13 “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, Who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”
I Corinthians 10:14 “Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.”

We are to learn the Word of God, know the events to see for our admonition, or our warning, about the end of this world age. So we aren’t deceived by Satan, or fall like the entire rest of this world, as there is nothing that no person has gone through in the past, at some point in life we can all learn from. God always gives us an escape route, His Word tells us how. We are to not walk away, but to run away from idolatry, anything not written in God’s Word, like church teachings and religion, or men’s traditions. So then back to Jeremiah, God is saying to him, I formed you before you came in the flesh in your mom’s womb and made you a prophet! Wow, and then Jeremiah says, but I’m just a young guy, a teen ager? How can you use me? We may all think the same thing when our minds are opened, not by some church or man, but by Almighty God through His Holy Spirit, Who wants to use us as His servants, that love Him, and then try and do His Word of God. Just think Jeremiah is saying this directly to God, so talk with Him, and ask for God’s help, HE wants you to, that’s why HE is there for us! God says then just like HE did to Job, gird up your loins, or pull up your pants, stand up and act like a man of God! God says don’t worry, because I, Almighty LORD God, Jehovah, the KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS, The CREATOR OF THE HEAVEN AND THE EARTH, HE will put those words in your mouth! Just like us today, God’s election at the very end when Satan is here in person while we are in the flesh, for the testimony of His Holy to speak through us to the world who will be worshipping Satan! God then tells Jeremiah in Jeremiah 1:8 to not be worried about the looks on their faces or their hard looks, but to be strong and confident in the LORD God for It is HE then speaking through you! That is what is happening when we teach God’s Word with discipline. God is just using us His loving and willing servants that are trying to serve Him in the flesh. So ask for His help, and keep at it, as it takes lots of disciplining our minds, and doing the work, exercising our minds in the Word so we are familiar with His plan. Bottom line we need to know this fact, Satan comes first then Jesus at the last trumpet of Revelation as in I Corinthians 15:52, while we are living in a flesh body. Then moving along:

Hebrews 6:7 “For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:”
Hebrews 6:8 “But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.”

Remember we just read one day with the Lord is as on thousand years, or when the Lord’s Day happens, when Jesus stands at the mount of Olives as in Zechariah 14:4, that marks that period. When we drink in the rain, or the pure undistilled truth of His Word, as the pure dew is on each piece of vegetation, giving it enough water on it, without destroying it, so it is with the Word of God and us. And as here, in the Song of Moses of Revelation 15, here:

Deuteronomy 31:30 “And Moses spake in the ears of all the congregation of Israel the words of this song, until they were ended.”
Deuteronomy 32:1 “Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.”
Deuteronomy 32:2 “My doctrine shall drop as the rain, My speech shall distil as the dew, As the small rain upon the tender herb, And as the showers upon the grass:”
Deuteronomy 32:3 “Because I will publish the name of the LORD:  Ascribe ye greatness unto our God.”
distil (Strong’s 5140) to drip or shed by trickling; distil, drop, gush out, melt, pour down, running water, stream.
publish (Strong’s 7121) to call out (i.e. properly to address by name); cry, invite, mention, preach, proclaim, pronounce, ready, say. (identical with Strong’s 7122 through idea of accosting a person met) to encounter or to meet in battle.

Moses spoke this entire Song of Moses, the song the overcomers sing in heaven to both heaven and earth as they do not worship Satan. If you want to succeed know it. Let’s read the first part of it here. The song sung to both heaven and earth. The Word of God speaking through them. The Word of God is like His doctrine, His Word of God, as pure distilled dew. Again, just enough truth on each piece of flesh, or each person, so that we don’t get too much water and are drowned out about the complete knowledge of it, but rather enough truth that then the Lord can pick us up to where we need to be in the Word of God. Then they sing I will publish, meaning to publicly proclaim or preach as when they are in a battle. This is the final battle when God using His election, HE will then speak through them when they are delivered up by family and friends, who will think they are converting them to Jesus, God, Messiah, or the religion’s figurehead, but in reality it is Satan, as they have not read the Word of God with understanding they don’t know what they are doing. A mother or father would not send their child up to death, for remember as in Hebrews 2:14, “the power of death, that is, the devil.” This then tells us read Deuteronomy Chapter 32 and really know it. You don’t have to memorize it, but know the chain of events, that Jesus tells us just like in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21, that Satan, whose number is six, six and six, meaning he comes in at the sixth trumpet of Revelation as in Revelation 13:18, or first, then Jesus at the seventh trumpet of Revelation 11:15. Moving then here:

II Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
II Peter 3:10 “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.”
II Peter 3:11 “Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,”
II Peter 3:12 “Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?”
elements (Strong’s 4747) something orderly in arrangement, i.e. a serial (basal or used for teaching beginners, fundamental, initial) constituent or one who authorizes to act as an agent, initial); rudiment or beginning, unformed or developed; (from base of Strong’s 4748) to march in (military) rank (keep step), i.e. to conform to virtue and piety, walk (orderly).
melt (Strong’s 3089) to loosen, break up, destroy, dissolve, loose, melt, put off.

God knows for a fact the majority of this final generation will fail, so that’s why we have the Lord’s Day, or the thousand years, in which discipline will be taught. Then The Word warns that Jesus comes as a thief at night, or by surprise to the world who will then have been worshipping Satan thinking he really is the Lord! Then the heaven and earth, the ages only end, bringing then the Lord’s Day, or the spiritual age, the thousand years after this flesh age ends. Then any religion or church or teaching not founded or marching in step with the Word of God, melts off, Jesus then ruling with a rod of iron as in Revelation 19:15, complete discipline. Then moving along:

Hebrews 6:9 “But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.”
Hebrews 6:10 “For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward His Name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.”
Hebrews 6:11 “And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:”
Hebrews 6:12 “That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.”
assurance (Strong’s 4136) entire confidence; (full) assurance; (from Strong’s 4135) replete, or covered over; complete, full; (from Strong’s 4130) to “fill” (imbue, or inspire or influence thorougly, influence, supply); to fulfill (time), accomplish, furnish.
slothful (Strong’s 3576) sluggish, i.e. lazy, or stupid; dull, slothful; (from a derivative of Strong’s 3541) a spurious, not genuine or authentic, or illegitimate son; bastard.

Salvation is wonderful and great, that’s a fact. But a church that teaches this over and over again to their congregation, who already have “been saved” that is an abomination to God, for they already are! So many do this, as their goal is to bring in the numbers, fill up their churches with many ignorant people, never wasting their time studying the Word of God, rather the seminary of their church’s teaching, so that way they can grow in their own money, power, popularity, the goal to grow the church, not the knowledge of each individual member. Which is the purpose of the church or the teacher of the Word of God, to teach it, period! Not to sing songs, pass the hat, maybe cite a couple of verses, then some pastor go on for about an hour for what they think God’s Word states, never studying it in depth for themselves, no way! That is how Satan then works, putting the attention off the Word of God, and then on this world, where greed runs everywhere, even in the churches, sadly, but realistically so! That’s why we have to be confident in His Word of God alone. Not in addition to what our church thinks, or some person, or religious leader, but solely His Word. We have to really rely on Jesus Christ Who is the Word of God, for isn’t that what we are saying when we say we are “Christians”: or “Christ’s man or Christ’s woman”? Right? Think about it. We cannot be slothful, meaning don’t fall down on the job, take the easy way out, because believe me, no, better yet, believe His Word, it says right here in Hebrews 6:12, to not be slothful or followers of them who are patient in learning His Word and want to inherit His promises. How do we know what the promises are, if we have not read them, right? Let’s let the Word, or Jesus, Himself, teach us here:

Matthew 6:28 “And why take ye thought of raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:”
Matthew 6:29 “And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.”
Matthew 6:30 “Wherefore, if God so cloth the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven shall He not much more clothe you? O ye of little faith?”
Matthew 6:31 “Therefore take no thought, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or, ‘What shall we drink? Or, ‘Wherewithal shall we be clothed?’”
Matthew 6:32 “(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.”
Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
Matthew 6:34 “Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”

We cannot be so caught up on our flesh lives, like how much money we have, or how we can get ahead at work, or at school, or anything pulling us away from His Word. We have to have that full assurance, remember, that confidence, that HE is able to do basically anything HE wants to in us! We have to do our homework, dig out those promises in His Word, so we can then go to Him and ask Him, as here:

Isaiah 43:26 “Put Me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.”

Put His Word in front of you, in your mind, then you can ask Him, showing Him your action of patience in learning about Him. We can say I love you Heavenly Father, over and over, that’s a first step, but then actions speak louder than words, so how can He use you then and be someone that can stand up in His Word for Him? Then in Matthew 6:31, don’t be like the Gentiles, meaning the other nations at this point did not have the Word of God, only Israel did have it available to them. God knows what we need, especially His election, as sometimes we don’t even know what to pray for, but keep that confidence in His Word, and you can never go wrong. He will bless you in ways you probably haven’t even dreamed of! Don’t worry about anything, as you’ll be in the same condition you were when you began worrying! Give it to Him, do your homework in His Word, and be happy, enjoy life! Then also let’s go here:

John 20:24 “But Thomas one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.”
John 20:25 “The other disciples therefore said unto him, “We have seen the Lord.” But he said unto them, “Except I shall see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into His side, I will not believe.”
John 20:26 “And after eight days again His disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, “Peace be unto you.”
John 20:27 “Then saith He to Thomas, “Reach hither thy finger, and behold My hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into My side: and be not faithless, but believing.”
John 20:28 “And Thomas answered and said unto Him, “My Lord and my God.”
John 20:29 “Jesus saith unto him, “Thomas, because thou hast seen Me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.”

We all know doubting Thomas, the man God used, His disciple, just think, God showing us that any person in the flesh can get distracted by this flesh life. He was relying on his flesh, his eyes and ears to see the fact that the Lord did overcome death, or the devil, as we mentioned in Hebrews 2:14, and was resurrected. He had to see it in the flesh, as many people do today, those that lack faith in the Word of God. We need to realize this, as even God’s election, who should be more perfect, remember, meaning more mature in the Word, and not one of us is left out of this fact! Then moving along here to another witness in His Word:

Hebrews 12:1 “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,”

We have so many other witnesses, take note “cloud” is a figure of speech, like a large group of witnesses are in this race to eternal life along with us, that we have to all be very patient in our race, as each one’s life based on what we did in the previous age before this flesh age, goes through different races, or courses in life. Don’t be sad by this, but take note, and we can always build ourselves to a better place in life not only here in the flesh, but in heaven as well. We need His Word that protection around us, remember the gospel armor of Ephesians 6:11-13, on us at all times so we are not deceived by Satan. Also another witness here:

Romans 2:7 “To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:”
Romans 2:8 “But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,”
Romans 2:9 “Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;”
Romans 2:10 “But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:”
Romans 2:11 “For there is no respect of persons with God.”

Again the subject is patience in life, as many of us have a long haul here in the flesh on earth, right? So then our goal is that eternal life, keeping our eyes on the prize, not straying away for the goals in the flesh only. Remember God will bless us, but we have to keep grounded His promises and do what is pleasing to God as that is why HE created us as in Revelation 4:11. It affects Gentiles, all those other nations not from Israel, and also Israel. God doesn’t care about your nationality, your race, your tribe, your family’s name, your religion, what church you go to, your gender, your age, nothing! He is does not respect people, but rather He respects our actions. We can tell Him day and night we believe in Him, but so what? So do the devils, or evil spirits, as here:

James 2:18   “Yea, a man may say, “Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.”
James 2:19   “Thou believes that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.”
devils (Strong’s 1140) a demonic being; a deity, devil, god. (a derivative of Strong’s 1142) a demon or supernatural spirit (of a bad nature); devil.

We can show God our faith by what we do. Even the devils, or evil spirits, know the Lord as here:

Matthew 8:29 “And when He was come to the other side into the country of the Greens, there met Him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way.”
Matthew 8:30 “And, behold, they cried out, saying, “What have we to do with Thee, Jesus, Thou Son of God? art Thou come hither to torment us before the time?”
Matthew 8:31 “So the devils besought Him, saying, “If Thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine.”
Matthew 8:32 “And He said unto them, “Go.” And when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine: and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters.”
Matthew 8:33 “And they that kept them fled, and went their ways into the city, and told everything, and what was befallen to the possessed of the devils.”
Matthew 8:34 “And, behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus: and when they saw Him, they besought Him that He would depart out of their coasts.”
devils (Strong’s 1142) a demon or supernatural spirit (of a bad nature); devil
Greens (Strong’s 1086) a Greene (i.e. Graphite); (from Hebrew Strong’s 1622) a Graphite, one of the native tribes of Canaan;

They knew Jesus and would rather go in the flesh of an unclean herd of swine. Even the swine knew better, and would rather die than have those evil spirits in them! Greens, a tribe of Canaan, so not people of Israel here. They were pissed off them and wanted Jesus to leave, for HE was destroying their pig business and lost lots of money! Slothful we have to point out means not authentic, or a copy, as Satan is always trying to be Jesus as he will come as in Revelation 13:11:

Revelation 13:11 “And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.”

Satan will be looking as the Lamb, but we know it is the dragon, or Satan by his words and deception, Then as here:

I John 2:18 “Little children it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.”
antichrist (Strong’s 500) an opponent of the Messiah; (from Strong’s 473) opposite, i.e. instead or because of , and (from Strong’s 5547) anointed, i.e. the Messiah, an epithet or descriptive word, of Jesus Christ; (from Strong’s 5548) to smear or rub with oil, i.e. (by implication) to consecrate to an office or religious service, anoint.

We are in the last time, or the end days, of this final generation. Many instead of Christ’s, or those that come in Jesus’ place through churches and religion are out there. Like this “rapture” teaching which God tells us to teach against. Then finally Satan will come instead of Christ. “Anti” in Greek means instead of, not against as in English, and as here:

Revelation 6:2 “And I saw, and behold, a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.”
bow (Strong’s 5115) a bow (apparently as the simplest fabric); (from the base of Strong’s 5088) to produce (from seeds, as a mother, a plant, the earth) bear, be born, be delivered, be in travail.

Satan comes also in on a white horse, or looking like he is on the throne of God, but in reality it is a simple, fabric imitation, made from the earth. Not the beautiful throne of God as here:

Revelation 4:3 “And He That sat was took upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.”
rainbow (Strong’s 2463) a rainbow (“iris”); (perhaps from Strong’s 2046) to utter, i.e. speak or say, call, say, speak of , tell; (probably from a fuller form of Strong’s 4483) to utter, i.e. speak or say, command, make, say or speak of.

God’s throne take note the base of “Rainbow” means to speak or say, as The Word of God is. Then also here we have been talking about this:

Revelation 12:7 “And there was war in heaven:  Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,”
Revelation 12:8 “And prevailed not, neither was their place found any more in heaven.”
Revelation 12:9 “And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world, and his angels were cast out with him.”
Devil (Strong’s 1228) a traducer; specific Satan; false accuser, devil, slanderer.
Satan (Strong’s 4567) the accuser, i.e. the devil.

We see some of Satan’s names and roles Satan is the old serpent of Genesis 3, as well as the dragon, as Revelation 13:11 states. Satan will deceive by what comes out of his mouth, not some physical war, as many believe. Then moving along here:

Hebrews 6:13 “For when God made promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no greater, He sware by Himself,”
Hebrews 6:14 “Saying, “Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.”

There is no other higher oath Almighty God can swear but upon Himself, Which His Name is the Word of God. That is how much assurance, remember that confidence we must have in Him! God did bless Abraham, a wonderful example of this here:

Genesis 22:17 “That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies.”

This did happen, as Abraham the father of many nations including Israel, the people of Ishmael and Keturah’s. Then moving along:

Hebrews 6:15 “And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.”

Abraham just think he lived ninety nine years, with no son, his wife up there in years as well, Sarai. Then here:

Genesis 17:5 “Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.”
Genesis 17:6 “And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.”
Abram (Strong’s 87) high father; Abram, the original name of Abraham; (from Strong’s 48)father of height (i.e. lofty); (from Strong’s 1) father; and (from Strong’s 7311) to be high actively to rise or raise; bring up, exalt (self), extol, give, go up, haughty; heave (up), (be, lift up on, make on, set up on, too) high; hold up, levy, promote, proud, set up, tall, take up, breed worms.

Abram, meaning high father, became Abraham, the father of many nations. This is today with even one we all know Queen Elizabeth of the United Kingdom as well as her family and offspring, and forefathers, from the king line, or the people of Judah, another study. Then God spoke to Abraham here:

Genesis 17:15 “And God said unto Abraham, “As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call here name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be.”
Genesis 17:16 “And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; king of people shall be of her.”
Sarai (Strong’s 8297) dominative; or have a commanding influence over); Sarai, the wife of Abraham; (from Strong’s 8269) a head person (of any rank or class); captain (that had rule) chief (captain), general, governor, keeper, lord, master, prince, principal, ruler, steward; (from Strong’s 8323) to have (transitive exercise; reflexive get) dominion; make self a prince, (bear) rule.
Sarah (Strong’s 8283) Sarah, Abraham’s wife; (from the same as Strong’s 8282) a mistress, i.e. female noble; lady, princess, queen.

Sarai, her name meaning princess or leader, would then be changed by God to Sarah, meaning queen. Again, both of them by previous actions in the first earth age, God could trust them and rely on them, that through their family Jesus, Who is in the seed, or the geneology of Abraham and Sarah, as in Luke:

Luke 3:23 “And Jesus Himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the Son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli,”
Luke 3:34 “Which was the son of Jacob, which was the son of Isaac, which was the son of Abraham, which was the son of Thira, which was the son of Anchor.”
Luke 3:38 “Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.”

God does not waste a lot of time in His Word with geneologies for no reason. But rather as a teaching tool to see if we are paying attention. Abraham then through this Seed, remember the woman’s Seed, Jesus of Eve and Adam in the first prophesy of the Word of God, in Genesis 3:15, Who did come through this family. Then here:

Genesis 18:1 “And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;”
Genesis 18:2 “And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground,”
Genesis 18:3 “And said, “My LORD, if not I have found favour in Thy sight, pass not away, I pray Thee, from Thy servant:”
Genesis 18:4 “Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree:”
Genesis 18:5 “And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your heats; after that ye shall pass on: for therefore are ye come to your servant.” And they said, “So do, as thou hast said.”
Genesis 18:6 “And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said, “Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes upon the hearth.”
Genesis 18:7 “And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetch a calf tender and good, and gave it unto to a young man; and he hasted to dress it.”
Genesis 18:8 “And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them: and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat.”
Genesis 18:9 “And they said unto him, “Where is Sarah thy wife?” And he said, “Behold, in the tent.”
Genesis 18:10 “And He said, “I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son.” And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.”
Genesis 18:11 “Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sara after the manner of women.”
Genesis 18:12 “Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, “After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?”
Genesis 18:13 “And the LORD said unto Abraham, “Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, ‘Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?’”
Genesis 18:14 “Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.”

Abraham then sees the three men, remember in Acts Chapter 1 the two men wearing white linen clothing after Jesus left who were with the LORD, probably, as the Word of God, points It’s Finger with examples in the Word, that two good possibilities those same two cherubim, or those archangels that protect the throne of God, Michael and Gabriel, not angels with wings or fat baby cherubims in fiction, but servants of the Living God! Abraham did not just walk up to the door, no he ran to the door and bowed to the ground! Abraham did not go to some church meeting, and then get saved, but he knew the Lord , His Angel, here coming to Abraham in the flesh, as he worshipped Him! Then they come in the tent, bring out the best food to serve the Lord and the two men with Him, and the best bread, and meat, and butter, and milk, just think of the value of these products to Abraham out in the desert God fairly new to him, as the Lord was speaking to Abraham. They both were then very old, past the age for having kids. So then when the Lord promises Sarah that she would have a child, she laughed to herself, not out loud, we then know this is the Lord. For only the Lord knows our minds! Then the LORD asks is anything too hard for the ME? To Sarah. Of course not! We have to remember this, as we all are going through life in the flesh and as God’s election, as Sarah and Abraham are, our flesh can block truth if we listen to it, to our own minds, but not to His Word. Then moving along here:

Genesis 21:1 “And the LORD visited Sarah as He had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as He had spoken.”
Genesis 21:2 “For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.”
Genesis 21:3 “And Abraham called the name of his son that was born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac.”
Genesis 21:4 “And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac being eight days old, as God had commanded him.”
Genesis 21:5 “And Abraham was an hundred ears old, when his son Isaac was born unto him.”
Genesis 21:6 “And Sarah said, “God hath made me to laugh, so that all that hear will laugh with me.”
Abraham (Strong’s 85) (to be populous); father of a multitude; Abraham, the later name of Abram; (from Strong’s 1) father; and from an unused root (probably meaning to be populous)
Isaac (Strong’s 3327) laughter (i.e. mockery); Jitschak (or Isaac), son of Abraham; (from Strong’s 6711) to laugh outright (in merriment or scorn); to sport, laugh, mock, play, make sport.

The son was born, Isaac, which his name means laughter! The LORD then, what happens? HE visits Sarah! Giving us that beautiful example that her future great-great, very great-grand-daughter, Mary, by many generations, would have the Lord Jesus Christ, as the Lord here also:

Luke 1:26 “In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,”
Luke 1:27 “To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary.”
Luke 1:28 “And the angel came in unto her, and said, “Hail, thou that art highly favored, the LORD is with thee: blessed art thou among women.”
Luke 1:29 “And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.”
Luke 1:30 “And the angel said unto her, “Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.”
Luke 1:31 “And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a Son, and shalt call His name JESUS.”
Luke 1:32 “He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the LORD God shall give unto Him the throne of His father David:”
Luke 1:33 “And He shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of His kingdom there shall be no end.”
Luke 1:34 “Then said Mary unto the angel, “How shall this be, seeing I know not a man.”
Luke 1:35 “And the angel answered and said unto her, “The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy Thing Which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.”
Luke 1:36 “And behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.”
Luke 1:37 “For with God nothing shall be impossible.”
Ghost (Strong’s 4151) a current of air, i.e. breath (blast) or a breeze; a spirit, i.e. (human) the rational soul, vital principle, mental disposition, (superhuman) an angel, demon, or (divine) God, Christ’s spirit, the Holy Spirit.
Thing (Strong’s 3056) something said (including the thought); a topic (subject of discourse), also reasoning (the mental faculty) or motive; a computation; the Divine Expression (i.e. Christ); communication, mouth, utterance, work.
Gabriel (Strong’s 1403) man of God; Gabriel an archangel; (from Strong’s 1397) properly a valiant man or warrior; generally a person simply; (from Strong’s 1396) to be strong; by implication to prevail, act insolently, and (from Strong’s 410) strength, mighty, esp. Almighty (but used also of any deity); God, (god), goodly, great, idol, mighty one, power, strong.

Gabriel, an archangel and his name means man of God! Angels look exactly as people, we just have a different body, the archangels never being born in the flesh, for they have received their positions again from standing against Satan, fighting with God against him, and are in God’s army. The two cherubims, both archangels, not wings, but the wing, meaning the army or host of God, protecting the Lord’s throne. Then here Mary this archangel Gabriel comes to her, after going to Mary’s cousin’s husband, Zechariah, as well as Elisabeth, telling them that John the Baptist, Jesus’ cousin would come before Him paving His way, telling the people to repent as the Lord is coming and HE did! Then Mary, another of God’s election, redeemer she is in the bloodline with Abraham and Sarah her great, great, great, and then some, grand-parents as in Luke Chapter 3. Again, God knew HE could trust Mary this young virgin girl, early teens, who was unwed, never been with a man, but then the archangel tells Mary is there is anything impossible with God! Of course not, with the Holy Spirit of God coming upon Mary and she then conceived, the Holy Thing, meaning the Divine Expression, or the Word of God, is an even better translation. As why, it’s states right here!

Revelation 19:13 “And He was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and His name is called The Word of God.”

The Word of God, is Jesus Christ, so let’s learn even more about Him, okay! Let’s move along here:
Hebrews 6:16 “For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife.”
Hebrews 6:17 “Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath:”

Flesh people swear by their flesh, or by their name they will promise something, right? Okay then but God went one step further, HE confirmed that promise, and HE did it by His oath to us all that love Him and believe in His Word of God. Let’s go here a moment:

Genesis 12:1 “Now the LORD had said unto Abram, “Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:”
Genesis 12:2 “And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:”
Genesis 12:3 “And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”

This was before Abram, was Abraham, or the LORD God renamed him to be father of many nations, but high father. So then God then promises Abraham, not only will you have your own family, as the man was childless at the age of ninety-nine years old, remember the subject here of Hebrews Chapter 6 is our patient as God’s election, and what an example dear Abraham is, God’s servant, as he is going through the flesh just like we all do. Then Abraham would have his son, and he had both Ishmael, which was man’s plan, or that between Sarah and her servant, Hagar, but God’s plan was better than any flesh person could imagine. Jesus, Who, would then come from directly this promise that God gave to Abraham, through His Son Jesus Christ, who was a future Descendant of Abraham and Sarah! Wow now really meditate upon that, and think about that, because remember the Word became flesh:

John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
John 1:14 “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”

In the beginning, the Word, meaning Jesus Christ, was with God, and the Word, meaning Jesus Christ, was God. That’s it plain and simple, for wherever the Father and the Son are so is the Holy Spirit. We need not pray in all three names, for when we do pray to Heavenly Father in the Name of Jesus Christ, we are saying this. Not to cut any church or religion down, but really think about what you are saying. Not like some churches that teach that Jesus is as us God’s Son only, but what does John 1:1 state? The Word was God, so if the Word of God as in Revelation 19:13 is the Lord, His very name, than does not that mean He is God? Of course! Just separate roles and another time we will get in more depth, but let’s finish this up here in Hebrews. So then Abram, God promised him that any nation or basically anyone getting in the way of the Lord’s work through Abram as well as Sarai, who God renamed them Abraham, father of many nations, and Sarah, changing Sarai from princess to queen, just think they both are in Jesus’ lineage, the reason, then for all that come to the Lord have then the opportunity for eternal life. And why here:
