The wind in the willows were blowing
As mourners said their tearful good-byes
And it seemed to me they were saying

On angel's wings I have taken my flight

I remember on homecoming morning
The smile on my Mama's face
As she told me of a homecoming morning
When we'd see our Lord face to face
As we enter the gates of that city

There we'll rest from all of our labors
At the homecoming in the sky
