My tears fall with great anguish,
I look up into your face.
My soul is emptied of all its life-
I seek Your mercy and Your grace.
Upon this mountain, my eyes shall weep,
Despair shall be my song.
Until my heart is made anew,
And my life again made whole.
I cannot see You; I cannot hear You,
Are You with me, near or far?
My eyes are turned toward heaven,
And my heart to where You are.
Upon this mountain I may die,
My heart is wracked with grief.
And ahead lies all eternity,
This life is but brief.
You alone sustain our lives,
And provide each breath we take.
Only You can fill each heart's desire,
We exist alone, and only, for Your sake.
Upon this mountain the Spirit's rain will fall,
Bringing life afresh.
And watered, my life will flourish again,
Gaining strength with each new breath.
You, Lord, are my destiny,
The sum of all life's quest.
And upon this mountain I shall seek Your face,
And in You, Lord, take my rest.
"Great is Thy Faithfulness" I shall sing,
My soul will claim Your grace.
As the dawn of all eternity,
Breaks forth in boundless praise!
Upon this mountain, my will bowed down,
The Glory will ALL be thine.
As rapture turns to songs of thanksgiving,
To You, O Savior Divine.
