How can I say that experiencing various trials can be used for our good? Trials hurt, they burden us, making us feel like we are carrying the world on our shoulders. How could they possibly be used for good when we lose someone we love or lose our home in foreclosure? The Lord always turns bad into good; we just don't see it while in the midst of trying times.
When I look back on a certain time in my life that was very difficult for me and my family. I see that the Lord planned each event perfectly, for my good. I was involved with a man who was addicted to drugs. I lived with him and became addicted also. I was sick a lot, lost a baby, and was very depressed. It was through these trying times that I came to know Him.
I accepted The Lord as my personal savior, moved to a new home, and finally found peace. I quit doing drugs, moved up in my workplace, and even met a good Christian man. All of this would not have happened if I hadn't lived that previous life of drugs and depression.
The Lord used my trials to soften my heart. I needed a savior and He made Himself known to me at the perfect time. If you're experiencing various trials, give your heart to Jesus. He will help, He will bless you in the best way He knows possible.
